The Godrabbit by Cynthia Sax
Reviewed by Eve
I read the sequel to The Godrabbit and couldn’t wait for the second book in the series. Ms. Sax didn’t disappoint. The Godrabbit is hilarious, gritty and definitely going on my keeper shelf. The action-packed story flows beautifully without a single sag in the narrative. Telling the story in first person, from the viewpoint of the two principal characters, brings an intimacy that could have been otherwise lost. Flopsy Lapin, the godrabbit, is a self-described crime boss so he’s not big on showing his feelings. Letting him tell his side of the story was an inspired choice.
The premise is ludicrous—a crime boss who shifts into a cute, nose-twitching bunny—and I tip my hat to Ms. Sax for making it work wonderfully. I bought every minute of the book and that ludicrous premise made this a very funny read. Flopsy muses about his “inner rabbit.” Grace just doesn’t say something would be bad, she says, “That would so bite the big carrot.”
I’m a huge Cynthia Sax fan now and eagerly await more of her work. The Godrabbit is the second book in a series and although it reads well on its own, you’ll want to read the first book.

Book Description: I am known by many names. My beloved mother called me Flopsy Lapin. Lady Grace Satin jokes that I am the wickedest rabbit in all of the world. Her father, Lord Satan, dares to label me a mobster street rabbit. You, my friend, may call me the Godrabbit.
Lady Grace is the only female I lust after. My bloodstained hands are unworthy of holding her, so when a high-class hooker with Lady Grace’s face, voice, scent, and everything else, wanders into my casino, I make her an offer she can’t refuse. This leads to a night I will never forget.
Note: The Godrabbit is a prequel to Protect And Serve: Badge Bunny, and is not actually part of the Protect and Serve series. We’re just — ahh — keeping it in the family, so to speak.

Jaguar Mate by SA Welsh
Reviewed by Droogie
Ms Welsh has made the tale of destiny and soul mates come full circle… So many times I have read this tale… yet Ms Welsh has truly captured the beauty of not only destined soul mates but the innocence of young love and the trials and tribulations of hiding from what you really want.
The whole idea of the Pack Valley series has me intrigued and I cannot wait for further additions. Jaguar Mate… The story of Kyle and Jay, two young men fated to be together, but before they can get their happily ever after jay has to accept that Kyle is different.
I feel like Ms Welsh, has taken me by the hand and welcomed me to her world. And just like everywhere else not everything is always good… I fell in love with jay from the very first moment through until the end of the story and for everyone out there myself included I hope Ms Welsh soon writes more books in this series, because by the end of the book you really want to know what happens next.
Kyle and Jay had just the right mix of cute and angst to make them believable, and I thought it was great how Kyle had to explain things while the mating heat hit…though I must admit that I wished that Jay would have taken a little longer to become accepting of the changes happening in his life… it just seemed that he accepted everything just a tad too fast. Though I enjoyed the story immensely, and have read it numerous times.
Ms Welsh is one of those authors I found by accident and have since looked up nearly every week to see if there is a new addition to Pack Valley. I recommend this book for everyone; I know you will enjoy it as much as I have.
Ms welsh has made me believe even more those famous words: It can only get better.
I will end with some of Jay’s thoughts:
Obviously smelling his arousal, Kyle turned towards him grinning smugly in a way that left no doubt that his desire was not hidden at all. Damn he was going to have to get used to this. He wasn’t going to think what he’d do when he was around other shifters; he certainly wasn’t going out in public any time soon with his libido having regressed to early horny teen.

Assassin’s Pride, Book One: The Cat’s Meow
By Stormy Glenn
Reviewed by Droogie
This is a story that pulled me in from the very first page where innocence meets ruthlessness, and didn’t back down.
Noah Anderson’s OCD style of order in his life drew me towards him in an instant. His compassion and understanding of how things were made my heart tug just that little bit more in his direction.
Gage Tynan is a bad arse and knows he is a bad arse… he sees what has to be done and knows exactly what to do until now. Everything he has ever known about how to take out a target is thrown out the window when Noah Anderson steps into his life.
Ms Glenn has written this story beautifully, this is a story that I am sure will be on many people’s re read lists
Noah’s antics as he faces the knowledge that he is about to cease to exist at the hands of the strange but attractive Gage tell the true story of how kind he really is. He is ok with the dying as long as Gage keeps his promise to take care of his cat Precious.
I found it intriguing watching Gage’s life slowly turn around as he realised that he is not the scariest thing out there. I loved how Noah slowly dragged Gage into the place where Gage was now the protector and not the killer.
Ms Glenn showed that by standing together Noah and Gage were stronger than if they faced their problems alone… By putting aside their initial conflict they banded together to help each other through their own demons.
Gages knowledge that he was meant for better things was an amazing storyline to follow as his understanding of what was happening came to life he manned up and took control… proving not only to himself but us as readers that when fighting for what’s right you have to dig a little deeper… even when what you are fighting for turns out to be a little different and a lot more complicated then what he first thought.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I know that you will too, I can’t wait for the next instalment in this series. I will end with my favourite lines of this story.
“Okay, what should I do now?” Noah asked, his voice sounding low and shaky. “How is this done? Are you gonna shoot me or stab me or something else? What would be easiest for you?”

Book Description: Being in the wrong place at the wrong time is not always a bad thing…
Noah Anderson is odd and he knows it. He has a strong obsessive compulsive disorder that keeps him organized but distances him from the world around him. He doesn’t have any friends, family, or even a lover. He’s never had a lover.
When he finds himself in the wrong place at the right time, Noah discovers that the dangers posed by having sex for the first time pale in comparison to having sex with the assassin that comes to kill him, even if it means his life.
Gage Tynan is a killer. It’s what he’s always been. And he excelled at his job until he jumped into the car of a passing motorist when his latest mission goes wrong. The man driving is so odd that Gage suspects he might have been sent to harm him. Gage has no idea that the little man that asks him to take his cat will change his life in ways he has no clue of.
Gage is dragged into a world of shifters and exiled kings, one where his strength will be called upon to keep Noah safe from the pride soldiers sent to keep him from taking the throne.

Unexpected Mate by Toni Griffin

Unexpected Mate is a beautiful story my only problem with it is Brian forgave Marcus way too easily, but other that that the story was wonderful. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves M/M genre. . The story flowed quite remarkable considering I had a hiccup there at the beginning. Of course the ending left me wanting more. In this case that’s a good thing.
Unexpected Mate is the first in a new series Holland Borthers by Toni Griffin. I personally cannot wait until the next comes out, I for one will be snatching it up. I am a huge fan of a good series and the Holland Brothers promises to be just that

SA Welsh takes us on a journey with Jayden and Kyle and it really did not end so I always have the satisfaction in knowing I may see them again at a later date. Highly recommended for anyone loving were animals and needing a quick read.

Dawn Endeavor 4: Gunnar’s Game by Marie Harte
Reviewed by Kathy K.
Of the four Dawn Endeavor members, Gunnar Tersch was the most difficult to get to know. He was certainly the most guarded of the teammates. But as we got to know more about him it became easier to understand why it was so…and my heart broke for him. That wasn’t a reaction that I expected to be honest. But once we knew more about his need to be controlled so much became clearer. And it wasn’t so much his Circ beast that frightened him when it came to Ava, but his Berserker. Honestly the combination of Circ and Berserker were…Wow!! That was just the icing on the cake!
As far as Ava was concerned though, he really didn’t have to worry because Ava is more than able to take care of herself…as she proves to Gunnar. In fact, she was quite devious and I loved watching as she turned Gunnar on his head until the poor man didn’t know which way was up…or where to go. Whichever way he tried to go she was there because Ava was definitely not going to let him go.
Wow! Between his beast and his
I really enjoyed the tying up of the ends; the time spent with the Dawn Endeavor team was extraordinarily steamy. There was, however, much more than just hot man / Circ sex. There is also an unbreakable thread of friendship that pervaded the entire series. And as each story was shared, we learned that what these men shared went way beyond the definition of friends. The four men—Fallon, Hiroshi, Julian and Gunnar—were incredibly close since they were SEALs. I think that’s partly why they were such a successful Circ team. They already knew each other and had bonded. Their change to Circ was just one more thing that tied them together. And it really didn’t hurt that their beasts needed lots and lots of together time…*grin*
But the team was more than just the four men; as each man found his mate the dynamics changed, definitely for the better. Then there’s Mrs. Sharpe; whoa there’s NO putting anything over on her. But the thing I loved best about Marie Harte’s Dawn Endeavor series? They’re not only sexy, but loyal, true, honest and together they are all family and I loved the opportunity to get to know them.

Book Teaser: It’s time Ava claimed her mate. The Viking won’t fall easily, so she won’t play fair. When it comes to love, she’ll leave nothing to chance. Conquering his heart is a game worth winning, and Ava’s playing for keeps.
Book Description: Genetic manipulation has crated the first super soldier, the Circ. The second generation of Circs, able to transform into hulking, inhuman beasts at will and psychically gifted is much more dangerous than the first. Under Project Dawn Endeavor, the secret four-man team belongs to the mysterious Mrs. Sharpe who is bent on cleaning up science gone wrong around the globe on behalf of the United States government. But there’s more to her agenda than patriotism. If only the team knew what she really had planned.
Gunnar Tersch has never met a man he couldn’t defeat. There’s no one stronger than his Viking come to life, and he knows it. When the team needs an extra push, he unleashes the berserker inside him and clears a path through the enemy. Except lately, it’s all he can do to control the monster within. It’s worse since he knows the truth about Ava, the woman his beast, his berserker, and Gunnar, the man, want to claim as mate. Yet Gunnar can barely say the word “love’ without sneering.
A tragic event in his past has assured him he’s not a safe man to be around: the violence that rages inside him can too easily hurt those he loves. But Ava won’t keep her distance, convinced she can trick him into loving her. Too late, because he already does, though he has no plans to act on his feelings. Soon Gunnar has more to worry about than the crafty beauty, because there’s deceit at the heart of their team. Only by trusting in himself and his feelings can Gunnar help avert the end of Dawn Endeavor and all he holds dear.

Tease by Mina Kelly

Tease is a beautifully crafted love story. Ms. Kelly is a master story teller. Together, that makes Tease one of my absolute favourite books of 2010.
Tease is full of sensual detail and the story is beautiful to read. The author’s voice is melodic, making her work a joy to read and hard to put down. The plot is absorbing and showcases Ms. Kelly’s mastery of English prose.
The story has everything it ought to: theme, subtext, a heroic flaw and a dark moment that made my throat tighten. I loved the conflict and the hero’s growth.
When you’ve got a couple of indulgent and well-earned hours to yourself, buy Tease, curl up with something warm and spicy to drink, tuck a blanket around yourself and let the fantasy unroll.

Badge Bunny by Cynthia Sax
Reviewed by Eve Pelco
Cynthia Sax has given the less-than-flattering term ‘badge bunny’ a hilarious slant. Badge Bunny is a side-splitting, sexy thriller. A few of the jokes are groaners but they make the book even more brilliant. The opening is provocative and funny and the rest of the book keeps on delivering those goods without let up.
Badge Bunny is well written, imaginative, fast paced and so quirky I believed every delightful second of it. The choice of telling the story in first-person-present was gutsy. In my opinion, it’s the hardest voice to get right technically and sound-wise. This book cried out for first person and I applaud Ms. Sax for doing it right.
The term laugh out loud is overused but I did just that. Let me leave you with two of the words that had me guffawing: Mafia Rabbit. That joke alone is worth buying a copy of Badge Bunny. Thank you, Ms. Sax, for a terrific read.

Jaynell’s Wolf by Amber Kell
A Wizard’s Touch Book 1
Reviewed by Theresa
“Wow” is the first word that comes to mind after reading Jaynell’s Wolf by Amber Kell. I was thoroughly entranced. I have always enjoyed Amber Kell’s stories and Jaynell’s Wolf was no different. Amber Kell has a talented imagination and she knows how use it!
I enjoyed the instant attraction between Jay and Thomas. Jay’s slight fear of being bonded again to someone was evident but the love he feels for Thomas outweighs that fear. I liked that Thomas was willing to let Jay work though those fears without being demanding. Thomas easily won me over when he freely admitted that his mate was just as much Alpha as any wolf. Jay has an infectious personality that wins over not only Thomas’ Alpha and brother, but everyone around him. Except one. And that is a battle Jaynell has to fight with the help of his pack and new friends.
Jaynell’s Wolf is a fast-paced enjoyable read, a delightful mix of romance, humor and magic, with enough reality to make it all believable. I love the magic in Amber’s books. I am very much looking forward to reading more of A Wizard’s Touch series. If Jaynell’s Wolf is anything to go by, the whole series promises to be extremely entertaining. And if the next one is about the two I hope it is, then it should prove to be just as good or even better than Jaynell’s Wolf. This is definitely one of those series where you can be sucked into the lives and loves of all the characters easily.

Coyote Run by Rhian Cahill
Reviewed by Theresa
Oh wow… when I first came across Rhian Cahill’s Coyote Hunger series I was very intrigued. Not too many coyote shifter stories out there and I loved that she went in a different direction.
One thing that I noticed about the first book—Coyote Home—is that there was a back story that we really didn’t know much about only that there were a couple of events alluded to. Something that had happened and forced Rowan to leave her home, her brother Brogan and her lover & mate, Quinn.
Well, after reading Rowan and Quinn’s story and Brogan and his mate’s story, we finally get a look back at what started it all… and It’s not pretty, but by the same token it wasn’t quite as bad as I had feared…but definitely bad enough!
And as this is a prequel, it doesn’t have to have a happy ending…we’ve already had those, as least for Rowan and Quinn and Brogan and El. And it was so nice to get a better picture of Rowan and Quinn, the people they were before the first book. A lot of Quinn’s and Brogan’s concerns about Rowan are more fully explained. But there’s more that needs to be done; the trouble facing the pack in general and Brogan, Rowan and Quinn in particular, is a long way from being solved… although not, I dearly hope, too far off!
But with each story I find myself more under the spell of author Rhian Cahill…and I’m looking forward to spending many more hours with her books in the future.

Karma Chameleon by Willa Okati
Reviewed by Kathy K.
Willa Okati has done it again… in fact she’s more than done it again, she’s just plain done it!
And what, you might ask, has this ultra-talented author done? Why nothing more than turn any ideas I may have had about the type of stories she writes on their head… that’s all.
Okay you say, but we all know she’s wonderful at writing humorous stories. Well, I’ve heard that, sure; on a couple of author groups where I spend time there has been much talk about how funny her Tomcat Jones series is / was.
The only problem is that I hadn’t yet read them for myself. Not that I doubted what everyone was saying… I’ve learned through experience that these people have excellent taste in reading material; and how is it that I know that? Why they like many—many!—of the same books I do of course!
But back to the writing of Willa Okati: one of her books that I read previously—And Call Me in the Morning—and reviewed for Ebook Addict Reviews was such a beautiful romance. Yes there was humor, I’m not sure Ms. Okati can write without it; even on the groups she’s one very funny—and fun—lady. But I just had no concept of how outrageously and utterly hilariously funny she could be. I do now, of course, and I know that the trio of books that comprise her Tomcat Jones series will be regular re-reads. How could they not?
In these books she’s combined magic, shapeshifters, very HOT men-loving-men sex… and just HOT, HOT men, and giggles galore… or maybe that should be guffaws galore. Hmmm, either way I laughed myself silly through them. And while the first two books—Tomcat Jones and Buddy Holiday—are primarily about TJ (aka ‘Tomcat’, aka Thomas Cattrell) Jones and his hot-as-the-dickens surfer wizard MacGowan Smith, Karma Chameleon is pretty much all Arden and Shavey’s story.
Yes, we’ve met them in the first two books as they were each best friend to one of the pair TJ and MacGowan. What was really funny was that, totally unexpectedly, these two macho men ended up having the serious hots for each other, and one of them was straight heterosexual… or so he thought. I guess he just needed to meet the right man, eh?
But in their own story we finally get to really know Arden and Shavey while actually getting to know psychokitty a little better too… and wasn’t that something else! But back to our two humans in a group where they are out-numbered by the magical members of their little ‘family’: Arden and Shavey are far more than I had expected they would be. Just goes to show that you shouldn’t judge someone before you really get to know them.
I have to admit that their relationship—and doesn’t THAT word give Arden a major case of the heebie-jeebies—took me by surprise; I really didn’t see that one coming even when it was mentioned in the first two books. But YOWZA, together Shavey and Arden are not only HAWT, but sexy and fun and… well if you want to *really* know you’re going to have to read the book because I honestly cannot do justice to the magic wrought by Willa Okati.
And while I would be busting a gut, there was a serious underlying message. When an author can disguise something like this as masterfully as does Willa then watch out people because you’re going to be falling in love and falling to pieces all at the same time… and when you’re all put back together just as the characters are then you too will want to cheer, whistle and stamp your feet for the über-talented author of Karma Chameleon, Willa Okati. Get in line people, ‘cause I’m here first.
Kathy K.
Book Description: Arden doesn’t usually take life that seriously. Why should he? He’s got good if weird shape-shifting-inclined friends and he’s grooving the mother of all extended hookups with Shavey, the only man Arden’s ever met who gives as good as he gets and takes as vigorously as he receives — and that’s just in bed. He’s living the sweet life, right?
Arden freely admits he’s a pain in the ass. He’s lewd, crude, shameless, and very nearly a nymphomaniac. Sure, he’s got some good qualities, but that’s never before been enough for someone he loved to stick around. Though he loves Shavey and wishes he could be the kind of long-term lover Shavey wants, Arden can’t pretend to be something he’s not.
The only place that leaves him is waiting for that other shoe to drop–drop-kick him out the door, that is. Though Shavey promises otherwise, Arden’s heard that song and dance before. He’s not buying it.
But that’s all before Arden needs Shavey’s help breaking a chameleonic shapeshifting curse. In return, there are a few things big bad bear Shavey would like to ask for — and intends to prove to Arden — in return.

When A Pack Dies by Gwen Campbell
Reviewed by Eve
Gwen Campbell has another winner with When A Pack Dies. The heroine and her young charge are psychologically damaged by the murder of their families, and I ached for them as they struggled through the aftermath. Ms. Campbell kept me guessing if they’d be able to heal, which I loved.
The descriptions of the shift between human and were were the most imaginative I’ve come across. Being a shapeshifter book, there is some graphic violence but if you’re like me, you’ll see it as vital in shaping the characters, and not overdone or gratuitous.
When A Pack Dies kept me interested from beginning to end. The two male heroes are super hot and the ménage scenes had me squirming—in a very good way.
If the literary gods are listening, Ms. Campbell will already be working on a sequel.

That strategy works for her until a funeral demands she return to home ground, and her best friend disappears. Finding Delainie means Jackie must confront the truth…and accept the help of a mysterious, sexy-as-sin Texan.

Trouble is, Marshall hadn’t counted on Jackie’s brutal right cross. Or the fact that her simmering sexuality calls to his inner wolf on every imaginable level. And that the killer is about to use their desire to add them both to his trophy case…
Warning: This title contains the following: explicit sex out in the bush, wild shifter sex in an abandoned shack, passionate sex in a hotel shower. I just took a walk on the wild side with this story. An excellent read, done by an outstanding writer. You could not ask for more. I loved the story line, was impressed on how she developed the story from start to finish. The character’s were fun to follow and see what would transpire over the course of the story. Ms. Munro takes us into the lives of three special people and shows how they made their commitment and lives work to the best of the ability.
I would recommend Ms. Munro to any reader. Tiger by the Tail is book nine in a series but I did not feel as if I was dropped into a story without a background, it easily stands alone.

Book Description: Middlemarch Mates, Book Nine
One plus one equals three.
Tiger shifter Hari Daya takes one look at Ambar Patel’s photo and is smitten. Further research heightens his fascination. An arranged marriage would work, except the lady isn’t buying and tells him to take a hike.
Ambar is already involved with human Jake Quinn. Casual pleasure and lovin’ works best for her since she dreams of traveling the world and delving into new experiences. The frisson of heat and desire she feels for Hari is unacceptable. There will be no tiger mate for her.
Jake Quinn has no idea either his lover or his new friend are shifters, but there sure as hell is something weird going on in his head. As much as he enjoys sex with Ambar, he’s thinking about Hari too. Suddenly there’s kissing and togetherness way past his comfort zone. The slide into sinful pleasure with both Hari and Ambar is easy—it’s the relationship dynamics that give them headaches and make them wonder if they’re making a huge mistake.

Coyote Wild by Rhian Cahill
Coyote Hunger Series Book 2
Reviewed by Kathy K.
Oh my! I loved Rhian Cahill’s first Coyote Hunger story—Coyote Home—but Coyote Wild is awesome! I think that it’s in part the incredible reaction that El has to Brogan—before she even sees him: At least Brogan knew what was going on. The overwhelming sense of connection, of being able to sense his presence without even seeing him, speaks loudly to the ‘mate’ dynamic. I love stories with such primal emotional and physical connections, but what seals it for me is development of a relationship upon the initial reaction… and in this case, Ms. Cahill delivers.
El is a wonderful character. She’s got no one else in her life and the recent betrayal by someone she thought she could trust has left her feeling a little lost… coming to help with her friend’s wedding is just what she needed. At least until she met Brogan… wow! The heat generated between these two without a word spoken was hot! All of a sudden nothing made sense and the fact that she had such a strong sense of ‘other’ in Brogan really had her spinning. I also like that, mostly, Eloise Crawford is a down-to-earth person.
Brogan: In Coyote Home he was only the older brother, sovereign of the pack and Quinn’s best friend. However, in Coyote Wild we get to know the man he is beneath the exterior and the various labels and titles he carries. And what we get to know is that he is very much a primal male and it’s not all to do with his coyote half. I love that he’s not a male who feels the need to fight the attraction that he feels—attraction is such a tame word—for El. He’s completely overwhelmed and, for him, that’s okay. It is what it is and he’s more than happy to follow his instincts. El didn’t stand a chance. *grin*
As far as the rest of the story goes, the action and the danger that Brogan and El are facing, is tense and well done. And I’m really curious as to where Rhian Cahill’s Coyote Hunger series is going to go. We’ve been given indications of who the next couple could be—and I’m looking forward to their story—and there’s definitely opposition to Brogan’s ruling of the pack… but how much and how far does it go? I sincerely hope that we’re not left waiting too long.

Book Description: Book two in the Coyote Hunger series.
Brogan Wilder knows all about animal urges. As a coyote shifter, he’s lived with them all his life but he’s never experienced the bone-deep hunger Eloise Crawford elicits. Claiming a mate is one thing. Claiming one who’s human and has no idea shifters exist is another matter altogether. In El, he’s found his destiny. Now he just has to convince her they are meant to be together.
A visit to help her best friend with wedding plans seems like just the kind of relaxation El is after. But once she arrives, there’s nothing relaxing about the reaction she has to her friend’s brother. Suddenly her senses are on high alert and she’s drawn to him in a way she finds nothing short of terrifying. But there’s more to this man than his golden eyes and magical touch. There’s something else. Something not exactly human.
Accepting her fate should have been the difficult part, but when El finds herself the target of an outraged pack member, the true struggle begins.

Pack of Lies by Vanessa Vaughn
Reviewed by Theresa
From the start of this book, something was off to me. I must have been about half way through the story before it dawned on me that there was little action and hardly any dialogue going on. It was all thoughts, feelings and perceptions of the person who’s head we’re in at the time . The story is told from the points of view of Marcus and Jack, clearly marked at the beginning of each chapter who’s POV we’re getting at the time. The author did a good job of this, I never found myself lost but as for the rest of the story…
Marcus and Jack’s relationship, if you can call it that, didn’t ring true for me. It felt contrived, and it was if I was just supposed to buy that that was the way it was supposed to be. I didn’t. The dynamics of the Pack weren’t believable to me either. If you aren’t strong enough to lead the pack, then you’re killed and the fact that Marcus had survived so long as a leader was a surprise to me.
In the end when the fight between Julian (Marcus’ rival) and Jack gets to an interesting point, where it looks as if Jack might be defeated, Marcus jumps in and puts a stop to it. I just could not see that happening at all. The bond Marcus and Jack were forming should have been a force that the Pack couldn’t deny and the author, although she touched on this bond several times, never showed it to the Pack.
All in all, Pack of Lies just seemed to missing something.

Book Description: When Jack is attacked by a powerful werewolf one moonlit night, his world is forever changed.
Marcus is that wolf, the strong leader of his pack, who never imagined a mere mortal could ever escape him, much less ever become one of his kind. And yet, as time passes, he can’t deny the handsome human is slowly beginning to change.
No longer the civilized architect he used to be, Jack feels a new power coalescing inside of him. He barely even recognizes himself as he becomes more sexual, more impulsive, more wild in every way.
But as the bite transforms him, it also binds he and his attacker together forever. The two share a powerful unbreakable link, no matter how forcefully they may each try to deny it.
Marcus is already hiding secrets from the other wolves, and his position as Alpha is threatened. Could Jack be the new ally Marcus needs to set things right, or will their desire for one another draw them away from all they know and alter the course of their lives forever?

A Safe Harbor by Moira Rogers
A bootlegger will save her life. A debutante will steal his heart.
Building Sanctuary, Book 1
Joan Fuller enjoyed a privileged life—until her wealth and connections garnered her the wrong sort of attention. Her rejection of a textile heir’s proposal comes back to bite her when he turns out to be a werewolf on the prowl for a mate.
She may have been turned against her will, but now that she’s part of his pack she sets out to protect all its women. Even if that means joining forces with a witch and a vampire—and leaving the comfort of Boston.
Former bootlegger Seamus Whelan has cleaned up his act, but when his old partner Gavin comes to him for help, he can’t say no—no matter how deadly the threat. Escorting some female wolves to safety should have been easy, except their leader is a prim ex-debutante with enough power to challenge Seamus himself.
Her courage captures his interest, and her first hesitant kiss ensnares his heart. But before they can build a haven for their kind, they must free themselves of the past—and the powerful man who’s out to teach her a lesson she may not survive…
Warning: This novella contains a rakish werewolf bootlegger forced to join forces with a teetotaling ex-debutante as they fight epic battles, engage in criminal activities and eventually give in to inappropriate passion on a kitchen counter.

Coyote Home by Rhian Cahill Reviewed by Kathy K.

Rhian Cahill is a new-to-me author, or was, but with her story Coyote Home – which I hope is only the first of many! – she’s acquired a new fan. I love shapeshifter stories and this is not only a first-rate shifter story it’s a beautiful romance as well. Oh, yes… and be prepared with items to keep you cool, ‘cause Coyote Home is one sizzling erotic romance!
I found myself very intrigued about the hierarchy in the Coyote shifter community and liked that it was original. One thing I will say is that, now and again, I got a faint echo of Rachel Vincent’s Werecat shifter series, not that that’s a bad thing by any means. And I’m not saying I found it to be like Ms. Vincent’s storyline, just that there were a couple of similar points; primarily that Rowan was away from home for a number of years and that there was a conflict regarding the leadership of the pack. But Rhian Cahill’s characters are very much their own people and there is a lot of potential for further exploration of the Whispering Creek Coyotes. Quinn and Rowan are a perfect couple together; apart for 6 years because of an attack on Rowan – and it’s never made completely clear just what happened – the mates have suffered at being separated. I loved that Rowan’s homecoming was so very important to her mate Quinn.
Another character that I really, really liked is Brogan, Rowan’s brother. Much about him Is still unknown, but I just know that there’s a thrilling story just waiting to be told about Brogan and his, heretofore unknown, mate.
This is, I dearly hope, just the beginning… and if Rhian Cahill does indeed intend to continue with the Whispering Creek Coyotes, I’ll be there just waiting to get my hands on each and every book.

New England is ideal for vampire Adam Dubois. His cozy home in the Great North Woods reminds him of a happier time when werewolves and witches were stuff of legends, and he was a simple lumberjack.

Hiding secrets is a lonely business, and Cindy Shepherd is lonely with a capital L. Red Rock isn’t exactly crawling with available men, but her interest in the mystery-shrouded new vampire in town seems mutual. Casual flirtation turns deadly serious when Adam discovers that the vampire plaguing Red Rock is using his mistakes as a road map. When it comes to his life, he knows Cindy has his back. But in order to secure the future, they both must trust each other with more—even if it means sacrificing themselves to save everything they hold dear.

He’s only been surviving. Her magic can show him how to live.
Red Rock Pass, Book 3
After a decade under a corrupt alpha’s thumb, Dylan Gennaro is still reeling from the changes in his life: a new home, a new alpha, a pack at war. Even normal things like an ending relationship. Still, when he’s asked to work with an outcast witch, he agrees without hesitation. Maybe by protecting her, he’ll rediscover his own inner strength. If, indeed, it exists.
Sasha Wallace lost her mentor in a vicious attack that left her scarred in spirit as well as body. While she’s grateful for the refuge offered by the Red Rock alpha, it’s tough living with the pack’s suspicion. Even though—or maybe because—she’s willing to use her powers to help them fight their war. Except for Dylan. When she’s finally free to find a new home, he’ll be the only one she regrets leaving behind.
Their attraction is a balm to their wounded hearts, until their journey for knowledge brings them face to face with a terrifying vampire. Neither has the strength for this fight—but if they can let go of their pasts and trust each other, they might just be able to do it. Together.
Warning: Contains dangerous magical binding spells, a flannel-wearing vampire lumberjack, paranormal road-trip hijinks and a quietly brilliant werewolf willing to defy his society and his past to protect the witch he loves.
She’s ready to fight at his side. He’s fighting for the strength to let her go.
Red Rock Pass, Book 2
If there’s one thing that Brynn Adler hates, it’s feeling helpless and vulnerable in unfamiliar territory. Three weeks ago, life tossed her into just such a world. A world of werewolves she never knew existed—until she found out her sister was one of them.
The pack seems determined to hurry her back to the normal world of humans. But after everything she’s witnessed, she’s not sure she wants to go—especially if it means leaving not only her sister behind, but the one man who makes her forget her life is falling apart.
Now all she has to do is convince him to agree to a plan to force the pack to let her stay.
Joe Mitchell has been battling his protective instincts since he rescued Brynn from her kidnapper. Getting involved with her is a bad idea for a lot of reasons. She’s on shaky emotional ground, and a supernatural war is no place for a human woman. He’s not about to let her make a hasty decision, one that will only bring her pain and regret.
Now all he has to do is let her go.
Warning: This book contains violence, a war between werewolf packs, hot, primal sex and sexual power games with a badass ex-Special Forces alpha who will do anything to keep his lover safe.
He is tired of fighting. She has nowhere to run.
Red Rock Pass, Book 1
Keith Winston is tired of fighting. The war between werewolves and wizards rages on in Europe, but he’s come home to Red Rock, Montana in hopes of finding a bit of peace. Instead he finds more strife as he struggles against the pack’s dictates that he resume his place as the alpha’s right-hand man.
When he rescues a new wolf on the run, he knows his instant attraction to her could cause trouble. What he doesn’t expect is to find himself embroiled in another battle that goes against all his instincts—and his heart.
Abigail Adler learned about the existence of werewolves only when she became one. With her life threatened by a corrupt alpha, she flees to the only sanctuary she knows: Red Rock. While she’s grateful for the pack’s protection, she chafes under its unbreakable rules of conduct—except when it comes to submitting to the passion Keith stirs in her.
Then her tormentor kidnaps her sister in an attempt to lure her out of hiding. To save her, Abby and Keith must be willing to do the very thing that could get them all killed—break all of the rules.
Warning: Hot werewolf sex, violence, explosions, and a heroine wielding a makeshift implement of destruction.
Man and Wolf by Kate Roman Reviewed by Theresa

Man and Wolf is available for purchase at Loose Id.
This book started out pretty good. I was drawn into Rob’s story. The relationship between him and Jamie flowed. They clicked as a couple and I did get the feeling they were soulmates. But less than half way through the book the story seemed to fizzle out. It didn’t keep my attention. I was ready for the story to be over long before it was and I considered not finishing it.
I didn’t buy the Animal Control Officer as the villain in the story. It all seemed too fake. I kept waiting for the computer investigating done by Jamie’s friend to ring bells somewhere and bring in the real villains in this story and I was quite upset when that wasn’t where the story went. I would have bought that whole storyline much easier than the route Ms. Roman chose.
The story had potential but in the end, I think it just fell flat.
