Doing Logan by Rhian Cahill

With Doing Logan—and I loved how the title is worked into the story—Rhian Cahill has cemented her position on my authors-to-get list.
No sexy shifters this time, but honestly, Logan doesn’t need any help in the sexiness department. The man’s total head-over-heels love for Meredith is more than enough. Then add in his chivalry and tenderness for her as well as the super-hot sex the two indulge in and Cahill has done it again!
I really liked how, even though Logan moved to support Meredith in her run-in with her ex, she didn’t need it. She not only behaved in a much more adult manner, but she was a class act at the same time. I could, mostly, understand how she would be a little reluctant to open her heart to anyone, even long-time friend Logan. She’s a little gun-shy… and why not?
But I loved how Logan was able to break through to her heart and show her just how much she meant to him. It wasn’t too fast to be unbelievable and his perseverance was much to be admired.
The sex is hot and even when Meredith and Logan are not *doing* anything, there’s a sizzle in the air—one of Ms. Cahill’s strengths as far as I’m concerned. There’s really not a lot to *say* about the story except that it is a great romance with characters likable, somewhat pathetic and just plain…uh well you can discover for yourself.
At 44 pages Doing Logan is a satisfying read that’s not going to take hours; it’s a very tasty and sufficient offering from an author who’s shown herself well able to bring romance to anyone’s day-to-day.

Book Description: Logan has been in love with Meredith for as long as he can remember. Seeing her with another had been its own brand of torture, but now that she’s free, nothing can stop him from claiming what is rightfully his.
The magnetism of Logan has never been lost on Meredith, but crossing the line between friend and lover scares her, even after dumping her slimeball ex. When Logan kisses her, an attraction like she’s never known ignites, sweeping her into an affair she can’t walk away from.
As Logan fights to win her heart, Meredith wages a battle of her own. Is she willing to admit her interest stretches way beyond merely doing Logan?

Coyote Run by Rhian Cahill

Oh wow… when I first came across Rhian Cahill’s Coyote Hunger series I was very intrigued. Not too many coyote shifter stories out there and I loved that she went in a different direction.
One thing that I noticed about the first book—Coyote Home—is that there was a back story that we really didn’t know much about only that there were a couple of events alluded to. Something that had happened and forced Rowan to leave her home, her brother Brogan and her lover & mate, Quinn.
Well, after reading Rowan and Quinn’s story and Brogan and his mate’s story, we finally get a look back at what started it all… and It’s not pretty, but by the same token it wasn’t quite as bad as I had feared…but definitely bad enough!
And as this is a prequel, it doesn’t have to have a happy ending…we’ve already had those, as least for Rowan and Quinn and Brogan and El. And it was so nice to get a better picture of Rowan and Quinn, the people they were before the first book. A lot of Quinn’s and Brogan’s concerns about Rowan are more fully explained. But there’s more that needs to be done; the trouble facing the pack in general and Brogan, Rowan and Quinn in particular, is a long way from being solved… although not, I dearly hope, too far off!
But with each story I find myself more under the spell of author Rhian Cahill…and I’m looking forward to spending many more hours with her books in the future.

Book Description: Prequel to the Coyote Hunger series
Forced to make the heartwrenching decision to leave Whispering Mountains, Rowan Wilder isn’t about to go without securing her bond with Quinn MacClellan. Neither expected their first time to be on the forest floor or while running to escape a madman but when it comes to claiming their mate, nothing can stop the hunger from burning out of control and consuming them both.
Publisher’s Note: This is not a standalone story; it has a cliffhanger ending. The next book in the series, Coyote Home, is needed to reach a satisfactory conclusion.
