Where The Heart Is
By Elizabeth Silver and Jenny Urban
Reviewed by Theresa

Where The Heart is has everything needed for a hot erotic weekend. One cabin—check. A blizzard—check. No electricity—check. Three hot men—triple check. For a quick erotic read, it works, because the sex was sizzling. Unfortunately, the connection between the characters was not.  The “happily ever after,” felt forced and that ruined the story for me. For three friends that have been friends forever to move to lovers and committed partners all in one weekend wasn’t believable. As much as I wanted to just concentrate on the weekend itself, the future was too much a part of the story for me to ignore.

If all you want is an erotic read, Where The Heart Is has that covered but if you want something more meaningful, I’d give this one a pass.

Teaser: It was just supposed to be their annual ski trip, but tension and an argument, a blizzard, no power, and the threat of loss erupts into sex. Best friends Jason, Chris, and Steve will never be the same.

Book Description: Jason, Steve, and Chris have seen each other through the toughest times of their lives, but when they’re snowed in together on their annual Thanksgiving ski trip, they learn that you can still have secrets even after twenty years. After Steve reveals he’s on the verge of a major decision that could break them apart, those secrets — their desires — might be the only thing that could save them.

Then a blizzard hits and snows them in, and there’s nowhere to run from the feelings they’ve been ignoring for years. None of them want to choose one and risk the other, but before the week is out, they’re going to have to find a way to make the three of them work again. If not, they’re going to lose each other after all.

Love Thy Neighbor by Jack Greene
Reviewed by Theresa

I love reading Jack Greene and I love m/m/m so I couldn’t resist when I saw the blurb for Love Thy Neighbor. Once again, Jack Greene gives us another great romance and boy is it hot hot hot! I definitely have a new Jack Greene favorite. I’ve already read this story twice and a third is in the cards.

I’m not sure if this one qualifies as a gay for you or maybe, in this case, gay for them. Either way, it worked for me. The trio of Quinn, Ash and Gerard is a heady experience to say the least. While I would surely classify Love Thy Neighbor as erotica, there is a plot, which is one of the reasons I love Jack Greene’s stories so much. He never fails to deliver a romance with lots of heat and still keep you focused on the story itself. But I couldn’t help but wish this had been a full length story because I wanted more. Quinn, Ash and Gerard drew me in and I wasn’t ready to let them go.

For a quick erotic tale with substance, Love Thy Neighbor is a must read in this readers opinion!

The Go Between by A.B. Gayle
Reviewed by Theresa

I really enjoyed the first book I read by A.B. Gayle so when I ran across The Go Between I wanted to read it, of course I love reading a m/m ménage. I enjoyed the dynamics in this story two roommates both secretly having the hots for each other but both afraid to say something to the other. Enter the best and you have the makings for one hot evening and A.B. Gayle delivered on that even in a short 22 pages I felt the emotional awkwardness of the situation and that made the story all the more enjoyable.

I have to say that as a rule I prefer my m/m/m stories to have a triple happily ever but in this case Zack is exactly what the title says The Go Between – a Christmas Cupid. But, it worked for me. The author didn’t try to sell me a romantic future that wouldn’t fly. I was sorry the story was so short only because I would have liked to see more of Jake and Sam as a couple, but for a quick short holiday read I was not disappointed.

Carnal Connection by Berengaria Brown
Reviewed by Theresa

This was a great read. M/m/m is one of my favorite categories and Carnal Connections delivered what I like. It was short but light, funny and erotic. Staying away from anything too serious, the author concentrates on the now, leaving the reader with the hope that there just might be a happily ever after in the future for these three while not making that a focal point. I would very much love to see another story starring these three in the future because I’m all for my happily ever after tied up in pretty red bows, but as an appetizer Carnal Connections delivers.

Carnal Connections would be a great short erotic bedtime story and it will send you off to dreamland with a smile.

Boystown 2 by Marshall Thornton
Reviewed by Theresa

I really enjoyed Boystown 2. Marshall Thronton has a way telling a story that keeps you on your toes. I enjoyed Boystown 1 but I thought Boystown 2 was even better. I liked Nick a lot more than I did in the first book. He came across real and less of a player and I found it easier to relate to Nick this time around.

All three stories in Boystown 2 are equally enjoyable. While Nick does appear to be trying to make things work in his relationship with Bert Harker—the cop he meets in the third story of the first book—the situtation is complicated by the appearance of his ex-lover. Nick still has a hard time saying no to any offer that comes along. There is still a lot of promiscuous sex—not as much as in book one or maybe I just became more accustomed to Nick’s ways ;)

I think Marshall Thronton falls into the category of acquired taste. You are either going love or hate the Boystown stories. As a rule, Boystown isn’t what I’d usually enjoy but for some reason Nick Nowak has captured my attention and kept it. I very much want to find out what adventures Nick is going to find himself in next. I was upset with how the third story ended. It was a cliffhanger ending and I’m not a fan of those endings at all.

Theresa

Book Description: In the second Boystown collection, Chicago private investigator Nick Nowak finds himself involved with a young man who murdered his stepfather but refuses to assist in his own defense, hired to find the murderer of a dead porno star, and, in a case that traps him between the two men he loves, searching for a serial killer’s only living victim. Set in the second half of 1981, Boystown 2 follows Nick as he juggles his deepening relationship with Detective Bert Harker with the return of his ex, Daniel Laverty. Which man will he choose? Or will he be able to choose?

Nature’s Own by Nica Berry
Reviewed by Cinderella

All I can say is WOW! This is great story telling at its finest. Nica Berry has a wonderful talent and gives so much story within the pages. The world the Nica Berry takes us to is both cruel and beautiful. The flow of both together was superb.

I love the story as a whole and the characters walked off the pages and into my mind as the story progressed. Love and hate is a fine line and on some pages I loved all of the characters and on other pages not so much. The story will make you sit up and take notice of what is happening in the book. We get a whole story and it is delivered with gusto.

If you are into other realms and other beings that aren’t human will need to pick up Nature’s Own and read it right away. I am positive you will fall in love with Nica Berry’s style.

Book Description: Amun, born with the gift of seeing the auras of other fae, is on a mission to aid his lover Loridan, the ailing fae prince. While there, Amun finds Shane, a young fae with gifts for both healing and sexuality who apparently has only one thought in his head: to get Amun naked and in his bed.

But Amun doesn’t have time for Shane despite his deep attraction. He’s busy searching for the madman who is corrupting nature by introducing fae gifts to humans and killing Loridan in the process. He’s also preoccupied with the knowledge that while Loridan won’t touch him anymore, the prince apparently has no problem inviting Shane into his bed.

Shane won’t give up on sleeping with Amun, but by the time Amun realizes how much he loves Shane, it’s too late. Amun must go on a desperate search to save both Shane and Loridan while struggling to accept the first rule of the fae: to be true to one’s own nature.

Eternity By Christina Loren Jade
Reviewed by Kathy K.

This second story in Christina Jade Loren’s vampire series is fun… and seriously sexy.  And while I enjoyed it a lot, it’s not my favourite, but only because this one is less about Nathan and Damien’s relationship and more about their sexual play.  Not that that’s a bad thing at all… oh heck no!  And at the end I got my requisite romance fix so all’s well that ended well.

Of the three books in the series that I’ve read—Turned, Eternity and Blackened—this one, Eternity is a little more… lighthearted? Not really the first word one thinks of, but I found this second book to be a little more fun in scope.  Nathan and Damien’s relationship is still quite new, but things are, for the most part going very well.

As a fan of vampire stories and a huge fan of romances, I do recommend Eternity and Turned and Blackened.  Together they make a more complete picture, but you can read them separately; but personally I do enjoy reading a series as a series—even if I went about this one a little backwards.  But as I said they do stand alone.

So, live a little, enjoy a lot and treat yourself to Turned, Eternity and Blackened.

Kathy K.

Book Description: Human errand boy Jason was sent for one purpose: seduce Damien Meade. Damien Meade is a fledgling vampire who’s learning the ropes and falling in love with his maker, but there remains one problem: he can’t resist the sexual games his sire plays.  With toy in tow, Damien leads the man back to the apartment where Nathan is waiting to join in the fun.

May Day by Bryl R. Tyne
Reviewed by Theresa

May Day is a May/December romance with an m/m/m bent—two of my favorite tropes in one book. As much as I liked May Day, I was sorry there wasn’t more of it. I really felt that this story would have benefited from being longer.

I knew what Ed was after, he wanted to get laid. It wasn’t quite so clear what Ryan and Kyle were after. I mean, it became rather obvious that Kyle was trying to find a Dom for Ryan but the why was not given. That missing information took away some of my enjoyment of the story. It was an important missing link.

That aside it was a good story. Something about Ed having both Kyle and Ryan in his life really worked for the hopeless romantic in me.  I look forward to reading some more of Bryl R. Tyne’s m/m romances. This was my first but won’t be my last.

In The Company of Men: Silent Lodge by Lynn Lorenz Reviewed by Kathy K.

Silent Lodge book 4 In the Company of Men is available at Loose Id.

I’ve been following Lynn Lorenz’s In the Company of Men series for awhile now and with each new story I’m finding that I love it, and the men, more each time. I’m also really enjoying the historical elements; Lynn does a wonderful job making it real.

In Silent Lodge we get to see Logan, Drake and the boys once again, but this is really Peter’s story. In Baymore’s Heir, the book previous to this one, we met Peter and I really liked him. He’s quiet, but in a much different way than the taciturn Drake.

But with the death of his wife and child he’s gone beyond quiet and deep into an emptiness that nothing Logan or Drake have done has touched. It isn’t until he’s at Logan’s hunting lodge and meets the caretaker, Arvel, that life starts to claim him once again.

Arvel is a fascinating man and his openness, his sincerity and his knowing innocence is just what Peter needs. And Arvel needs Peter almost as much. I loved watching as the two men found their way together and Arvel was the perfect man for Peter to start a relationship with. Arvel’s innocence and joy ameliorated the guilt that Peter felt. With Gareth’s return to the lodge the relationship between the Peter and Gareth was at times amusing but there was a deep connection between the two of them. Arvel knew what he wanted and he wanted both men; they were his Hearts.

This is a sweet romance with a lot of sexy interactions and as Peter and Gareth find their way together the connection between all three of them is obvious.
I really had no idea how Lynn was going to work Caelin into the mix. His journey towards a relationship with Peter, Arvel and Gareth was very difficult and quite heartbreaking at times. But knowing Lynn I knew that she would be able to pull it off and she did, beautifully.

As I got towards the end of the book, in many ways I felt as though the relationship between the four men is only the beginning. I would love a chance to revisit Silent Lodge and once again find myself sighing over the loving and extremely sexy foursome.

Book Teaser: Peter’s only had one experience with men, but he refused to explore this due to the love he felt for his wife. After she dies, he meets Caelin, a beautiful young man with a scarred face and a beautiful soul who is willing to join him in his silent lodge.

Book Description: Peter’s only had one experience with men, and it involved Duke Logan and his lover Drake, the mercenary, but Peter refused to explore their affections due to the love he felt for his wife. Six months after her death, and that of the unborn child she carried, Peter is devastated and barely functioning.

When Logan sends Peter on a mission to discover if their enemy, Duke Weathers, is going to invade Marden, Peter discovers more than he bargained for. He finds a reason to live in Arvel, the fragile young man who talks with his hands and eyes. However, when Arvel’s lover, Gareth, a mercenary, arrives, Peter and he are at odds, and not just over Arvel. Arvel wants to enjoy them both and he wants them to enjoy each other.

Peter soon finds life again with Arvel and Gareth, until he must return home to Marden and make his report. There, he meets Caelin, a beautiful young man with a scarred face, and realizes he has found his own special lover. And his new lover is ready and willing to take his place in the silent lodge.

At last, the circle is closed, and all four lives are complete.

Boystown by Marshall Thornton Reviewed by Theresa

Boystown by Marshall Thronton is available for purchase at Torquere Books.

Before Boystown, I had never read anything by Marshall Thornton so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect and after starting the first of the three stories in Boystown, I think had prepared myself to hate it. The stories of Nick Nowak Private Eye are based in the early eighties, BA (before Aids). I’m not a prude but promiscuous sex doesn’t do it for me and sex without condoms… well, I’m not going there. But, as I was reminded by someone, the author was only being true to the times. I’m one of those people who seldom scraps a book—my innate curiosity usually keeps reading until the end— and in this case, the more I read, the more I found I was actually starting to like the stories. Nick has a hard time turning down a pretty face and a hard cock. Oddly enough, I think that became part of his charm and I just kept reminding myself that it was 1981.

I am looking forward to the next Boystown. I want to know where Nick Nowak’s life leads him. I wasn’t left with a cliffhanger, which I do appreciate, but there was just enough of a tease that I am curious to find out if maybe the next Nick Nowak stories will show him in a slightly different light. Either way, I will be reading Boystown 2, which as I understand, barring any complications, will release on my birthday July 28th ;)

I apologize that I didn’t review this book as three different stories but I found I had a hard time separating them in my mind. Each story may have had its own drama, but the ending of each just led right into the next so it really was hard to view them as different stories.

Theresa
**********

Books Description: A former police officer turned private investigator, Nick Nowak is haunted by his abrupt departure from the department, as well as, the traumatic end of his relationship with librarian Daniel Laverty. In these three stories set in Chicago during the early eighties, Nick locates a missing young man for a mysterious client, solves a case of arson at a popular nightspot, and goes undercover to prove a dramatic suicide was actually murder.

When he isn’t detecting, and sometimes when he is, Nick moves through a series of casual relationships. But his long suppressed romantic side surfaces when he meets Detective Bert Harker. Will he give love another chance? Or, will he continue to bury himself in the arms of strangers?

An Academic Dilemma by Alix Bekins Reviewed by Theresa

An Academic Dilemma is available for purchase at Dreamspinner Press.

I liked An Academic Dilemma by Alix Bekins, a kinky m/m that turns into an even kinkier m/m/m.

When I started this book I expected m/m/m and although I did eventually get the ménage it wasn’t really m/m/m until the end. And just so I’m not misunderstood, it was a really good story, just not what I expected. I found how the story began to be unique and, in a way, a bit underhanded. Even though Ian was honest with Rodrigo from the start about having a partner, for obvious reasons, he wasn’t honest about who his partner was. I didn’t find it hard to buy that if there was going to be a relationship between these three it would have to start out the way it did. It worked for them and at the same time, for me. If you enjoy unusual m/m romance, I think it will work for you too.

Theresa
**********

Book Description: Art history student Rodrigo is in the middle of a busy semester when he literally runs into a sexy librarian. He and Ian discover they have more in common than just instant attraction and friendship; there’s a kinky element to their affair they both enjoy. But Rodrigo is also drawn to Professor Daniel Sullivan, and he just can’t shake the desire he feels for the older man.

The end of the term reveals a few surprising secrets about both objects of Rodrigo’s desires, and while he’s thrilled by the games of trust and passion with Ian, it’s fantasies of Daniel dominating him that are setting Rodrigo on fire.

More By Sloan Parker Reviewed by Theresa

More by Sloan Parker is now available for purchase at Loose Id.

Edge-of-your-seat suspense, non-stop sex and one of the best romances I have read this year.

I had my doubts about this story at first because it was done in first person, but Sloan Parker really pulled it off. I was in love with Luke, Matt and Richard from the first night at the club. The only real complaint about the story being in first person was that I really wanted inside Matt’s and Richard’s heads. Hearing things from their point of view would have increased my enjoyment of the story, but it does not stop this book from going onto my favorites list. It is definitely going to be one I remember.

I swear I could hear the music of impending doom in my head, waiting for Luke’s dad to make his next move. I was absolutely incensed at the lengths his dad would go to control him. The fact that Luke finally started to allow himself to live his life with his two lovers out in the open was a giant step for Luke, one that both of them seemed to recognize and no matter how scared Luke got, both Richard and Matt were always there for him. Has Luke finally found someone, or in this case, two someone’s, important enough to stand up and put a stop to his father’s harassment?

Theresa
***********

Teaser: A confirmed loner spends one explosive night in a sex club with two men who make him want to break all of his self-protective rules, especially the no-repeat clause. But his father, a senator, is determined to destroy Luke’s something more.

Book Description: For fifteen years Luke Moore has lived by three rules: stay off his father’s radar, never spend more than a single night with any man, and never fall in love again. But one night of explosive sex and two men whom he can’t get out of his head have Luke breaking them all. Richard and Matthew push him past all his boundaries—both sexually and personally—and now he’s no longer hiding from his senator father; he’s taking him on. And he isn’t just falling for one man; he’s falling for two. If you’re going to break the rules, might as well break them big.

But Luke’s father has his reasons for hating how his son lives, and he’ll do whatever he can and use all his power to keep Luke away from Richard and Matthew.

Can this threesome find a way to make their unconventional relationship last with the world around them trying to pull them apart? And will Luke be able to keep breaking his rules for Richard and Matthew, or will he head back to his familiar way of life just when his new lovers want to bind him tighter?

Ice Water In Hell by Carol Lynne Reviewed by Theresa

Ice Water in Hell is available for purchase at Resplendence Publishing.

Lucifer and the gang are back in Ice Water in Hell, the sequel to Hell Hath No Fury available for purchase at Resplendence Publishing.

M/m/m ménage is a definite favorite of mine. I love that seemingly forbidden romance and Carol Lynne delivers. She has a way with m/m romance but when she adds a third she always has a hit. Ice Water in Hell is no exception.

Baz and Nick were sparking flames in Hell Hath No Fury and they set the sheets on fire in Ice Water in Hell, but there seems to be something missing and we soon learn what that is. At first, I wasn’t all that sure that I wanted to see a third in this duo. The two of them had quite the chemistry but when we meet Galen, it is like seeing pieces of a puzzle fit together, they just click. There is something about Galen that brings out the protective instincts in both Baz and Nick and nothing can help the evil that tries to get between the happily ever after of these three men.

If you loved Lucifer in Hell Hath No Fury, I promise that you will love him even more by the end of Ice Water in Hell. The lengths he is willing to go to protect his City and those that belong to him are long reaching. I love The City. This series brings out the voyeur in all of us as we live vicariously through the citizens of The City.

Reader Warning: I feel I must warn you that If you are a deeply religious person you may find this particular perspective on Hell and its inhabitants to be objectionable.

Theresa
**********

Book Description: When his ex-lover moves to The City, Basileios “Baz” Kostopoulos is torn. He wants and still loves Nick, but hurt over the past holds him back until a nightmare from long ago prompts him to reconcile with his longtime love.

For centuries, Baz tried to forget the day he and his lover, Galen, were murdered. He thought he’d done a good job of moving on by meeting and falling in love with Nick, but when his murderer shows himself, Baz is swept back to the morning of his death. The memories of his long-buried love threaten to destroy the peace he’s finally found in Nick’s arms.

When Baz realizes his murderer is out to seek revenge by claiming not only Galen but Nick as well, Baz is forced to come face to face with a past he never wants to relive.

Win A Copy of Del Fantasmas: Duck Fart by Jade Buchanan Reviewed by Theresa

When buying a book, what is the first thing that grabs your attention?

In my case, the first thing is the cover. When I scan through pages and pages of books if the cover doesn’t jump out at me, I keep right on scrolling. I have been known to buy a book based on the cover alone and yes, I have had some duds, but it proves my point that the cover sells the book.

Second up are author names. We all have our must-buy authors who publishers could package in a plain brown wrapper with no blurb and only the author’s name and we would buy it.

Third—titles. I’ve been known to pass up a book because the title just didn’t do it for me and this is where I’m sure I miss out on a lot. Books really are more than a title, as I learned recently with Jade Buchanan’s Del Fantasma: Duck Fart….

For me the Del Fantasma series had one serious strike against it as I’ve never really liked the cover for this series (Yes, if you haven’t figured it out, I am a cover snob. I freely admit it). I’m sure there are wonderful stories but the covers just never grabbed my attention so I skipped them. As I’ve learned—my loss.

So, back to Duck Fart. I read this book on sort of a dare—one I gave myself. Then, just to make sure I really read it, a well-meaning friend backed it up by officially daring me to review it. Thank You – you know who you are!! Yes, Jade Buchanan wrote it on a dare, and I read it on a dare.

Although the title didn’t do it for me, I did read the blurb and well…my next weakness came in to play. Duck Fart is an m/m/m story and that does do it for me. Sexual component aside, the story was funny and emotional. I felt the pain that Bailey did when he found out that Adam had already mated with another as well as the instant attraction Keith felt upon meeting Bailey. I laughed myself silly at Drake’s outrage over Bailey’s comment about how he couldn’t bone a duck. I swear I could hear him squawking in my bedroom. It was a wonder these three men finally found each other in the end as they constantly rubbed each other the wrong way…except for when they were rubbing each other the right way—lol. It is easy right off to see Keith and Bailey together but took a bit more time to warm up to Drake. He is a prickly duck to say the least, but when you get to know him, you realize this trio is meant to be. Bailey is very naïve and that is very apparent and a very big part in why he doesn’t see what is right in front of him from the start.

I enjoyed this story so much, just writing this I want to go back and read it again and I just finished it.

If you haven’t bought or read Del Fantasma: Duck Fart by Jade Buchanan available at 1 Romance Ebooks, what are you waiting for? I promise that along with laughing yourself silly over the outright humor you’ll be rooting this trio on to the end!

So what did I learn from this little experience? That the old adage is true… Never judge a book by its cover or title as the case may be. Oh and Duck Fart Yumm – and no I’m not going to tell you what it is you have to buy the book to find out *insert evil laugh here*

I will be giving further investigation into more of the Del Fantasma series and find out what else I have been missing out on. Black Wolf Adam’s story being at the top of that list.

**Because I fell in love this book and I want to share it with others I am going to give a copy of this book away to one lucky winner all you have to do is leave a comment telling me how it is you choose a book is it the author alone, the book cover or title or something all together different come one be honest I was;) the contest will run from today Wednesday February 24, 2010 to Saturday February 27, 2010 (11:59 PM – CST). Book Description: Keith Malone is incredibly content. He loves coming around Del Fantasma… great food, great company, and a decent place to rest his soul when he needs it. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that Cody lets him dust off his carpenter skills with the odd job here and there.

Bailey Mitchell is incredibly nervous. He’s come all this way to San Diego, following up on a chance encounter that happened months earlier, and now he doesn’t know what to do. One glance and it’s obvious Adam’s already taken. What’s a lonely Siamese shifter to do?

Drake McKale is incredibly grouchy. He’s sick and tired of every shifter he’s run across making fun of him. Hey, duck’s have feelings too! So what if he’s smaller than everyone else? Spoiling for a fight he can actually win, he decides to pick on the shy, little kitty in the corner. Only, Drake never reckoned the diminutive cat would proposition him. Or that the big human in the corner would want in on the action.

One part burly human, one part shy Siamese shifter and one part twinky (and kinky) duck shifter… layer together and enjoy!

In The Company of Men: Mercenary’s Tale by Lynn Lorenz Reviewed by Kathy K.

Lynn Lorenz’s Mercenary’s Tale book 1 of In The Company of Men is available for purchase at Loose Id.

What a beautiful and touching story. I fell hard for Drake and Ansel; when Drake lost his love I mourned. But Drake had friends, good friends, and one of these was a fellow mercenary by the name of Jackson. I loved the interaction between the two men; two people who knew and understood the other. It was through Jackson that Drake was given a new lease on life.
Drake is a man of mystery. Jackson knows of his origins, but we don’t, Drake is also a man of honor, loyalty and reserve. As Drake’s and Logan’s relationship developed from friendship and attraction to something much bigger I was able to watch as Drake’s heart opened to those around him; once again I was entranced.

Lynn Lorenz writes wonderfully detailed and emotionally rich stories; her historicals have a strong voice all their own. They’re different from her contemporary romances only in tone. The depth of character and her ability to not only draw the reader into her books, but to engage them fully is a real gift. Make sure you give yourself the opportunity to enjoy it; starting with In Company of Men: The Mercenary’s Tale. Get to know an author who is as adept at romance in an historical setting as she is in a contemporary one. You’ll find that it’s just the beginning of an ardent fan-dom.

Book Teaser: When Drake’s heart is awakened, he discovers the joy of forbidden love. After losing it, grief and drink consume him. When he takes a job with Duke Logan, can Drake put his ghost to rest and accept the love Logan offers him?

Book Description: When Drake first looked into Ansel’s blue eyes, he found himself breaking his own rules. Despite his better judgment, he agreed to let the young mercenary travel with him to the battle at Foray. Their travels become a journey of sexual discovery, love, and, ultimately, on the battlefield at Foray, loss.

Two years later, Drake is called to be Master of Arms at Marden Castle. Drake can handle that, but he can’t handle Logan, the Duke of Marden.

Logan’s green eyes, long blond hair, and boyish charm make Drake feel things he’d rather keep buried. But if Drake can open his heart again, he’ll find everything he’s never wanted and always needed: a home, a son, and a man to love and who loves him.

Publisher’s Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, male/male sexual practices, masturbation, ménage (m/f/m, m/m/m), violence (graphic).

Christmas in Killarney by Cash Cole Reviewed by Kathy K.

Cash Cole’s Christmas in Killarney is available for purchase at Loose Id.

Cash Cole has definitely made my auto-buy list; Christmas in Killarney was humourous, sweet, sexy and a wonderfully sinful seasonal romance. What’s not to love? From the opening words ~ The first thing Colin Zachary noticed when his eyes focused was the enormous, dimly lit cross with a crucified Christ looming several feet in the air above his head. Like some ominous specter, judging him, and he had no idea what he’d done to earn the rebuke. ~ I was hooked. I laughed and ached for Colin and when he met Harry and then Morgan I was sincerely crushing on all of them. I loved watching as Harry and Morg made a place for Colin, and as Colin learned more about who he was, I became emotionally involved as well.

I really enjoyed the progress of the friendship, then the three-way relationship. Harry and Morgan are awesome and Colin, he was pretty terrific himself. An interesting story that I’ll enjoy again and again; and a sexy Christmas story that brings steamy life to the season. Now if only we can see more of the sexy trio!

Kathy K.

**********

Teaser: From naked in church to snowbound with two sexy hunks, it appears that frustrated writer Colin Zachary is going from fiction to friction this Christmas in Killarney.

Book Description: Waking up naked in church definitely distracts writer Colin Zachary from the writer’s block that’s been plaguing him. Harry Gill, who rescues him, has altruistic intentions until he gets up close and personal with his sexy new charge. Ditto for Harry’s significant other, Morgan O’Hanlon.

The weather is miserable, and Colin has no choice but to stay with the handsome hunks, but he’s a workaholic who hasn’t been laid since Santa’s last visit, and all he can think about is easing his aching body and lonely heart. Not a problem. Harry and Morgan want him under their Christmas tree, in their bed, in the snow—any way they can have him.

But Colin can’t concentrate to finish an assigned deadline. Harry is up to his ears in Christmas orders, while Morg is beside himself with grief and worry that so many families will be without funds because he has misplaced their checks. The bar’s nemesis, who has tried unsuccessfully for years to buy the business, calls on them, offering money if Morg will sell O’Hanlon’s Pub to him.

Can hot sex and a cool Santa save Christmas in Killarney?

911 by Chris Owen Reviewed By Theresa Available at Torquere Books

911 by Chirs Owen can be purchased at Torquere Books.

I’ve had this book in my library for a while and kept putting it off, to tell you the truth. It was because of the length—I’ve gotten a bit spoiled by the shorter stories—but I can tell you that by the time I finished reading 911, I was asking myself why it had taken me so long to read it. To say this book is packed with emotion is an understatement.

Chris Owens can definitely tell a story that keeps you interested from start to finish and begging for more. I found myself literally on the edge of my seat, afraid of what was going to happen next, because although you can feel the love between Drew and Scott and know it is real, at the same time you just know there is something missing in their relationship that keeps you wondering, are they it or is there more?

When EMT Eric joins the group in weekly poker games and soon moves in with Drew and Scott, things really start to get interesting for this trio. Will Eric’s presence in their lives be what ties them all together or tears them apart.

I very much enjoyed this book. I will admit that I thought there was a lot of filler—parts of the story that I felt were added more to up the word count than add to the story. Even so, I am not sorry I read this and would definitely suggest if you haven’t yet read this one, that you pick it up.

Higher Learning by D.J. Manly Reader Reviewed by Theresa

Higher Learning a collection of short stories by D.J. Manly can be purchases at Extasy Books.

Definitely an interesting group of stories, Short, quick and very enjoyable.

While I didn’t overly care for Ethical Promise or The Upside of Fear the stories were to rushed for my taste, they were both very sweet stories.

The Big Bang was very hot and steamy. Grab a cold drink before you start this one. *light bondage and multiple sex partners*

A Lingering Song the last story in the book and in my opinion the best, two men share a connecting past that lead to tragedy for one, *this one will make you cry* My favorite of the four and the one that makes the whole book. But that is just my opinion.

Theresa

Book Description:

In these four stories of love, centred around higher education, young men learn more than just the subject of matter at hand. In Ethical Promise, Mark falls hard for his teacher, who he must be content to admire from afar. In Big Bang, a teaching assistant conducts a study group for Physics and finds out that the students know more than he does. The Upside of Fear gives Simon a challenging roommate who enjoys parading around naked, and A Lingering Song finds a bad boy rocker doing penance, while meeting up with a guy who shares a past with him he would have never imagined.

Higher Education had never been so hot!
