For the last two weeks , the International Heat authors have decided to write a Countdown to Christmas story. Each day one of us has added the next installment. I should have had this up much sooner than I have but as always I’m late out of the starting gate.

Jess writes smokin’ hawt stories. She isn’t afraid to leave that bedroom door open and she certainly isn’t afraid to open up the heart either. She has no problem exposing the deepest emotions in her characters and you never put down one of her books without feeling sad about saying goodbye. International Heat wouldn’t be the same without her, and no isn’t just because she’s an Aussie and can cover that part of the world when we take over. Oops! Did I just say that out loud? Anyway, Jess lives in the future, a good 14 or so hours ahead of the US east coast which means she gets to wait through a whole day on release day before being able to see her books live on the publishers website. But she handles it with class. She only whines and bitches for about 14 hrs and then all is well again. LOL

I met Jess over on Samhain Publishing Yahoo Group, She was the one who decided to nickname me T, well my dad always called me T, but Jess is the one who brought it over into cyberspace and it stuck.

In the spotlight this week is someone who has reinvented herself many times over but she’s still the same Jambrea Jo Jones whether she’s a reader, a reviewer, a moderator or a writer. Most of us know Jambrea from one of the many groups she belongs to but we here at International Heat get the best deal. We get every part that makes up the wonderful Jambrea. And let me say, while all Jambrea’s many personas are great the best is being able to call her friend. With her chameleon like personality you wouldn’t be surprised to find her writing spans many genres. She isn’t afraid to push the boundaries or step outside the box, and that has brought her many successes in the writing world. In recent months she’s been piling up the contract and the rest of the year is looking pretty good for new releases. Each of us at IH love Jambrea and want to share a little bit of why

Jambrea was one of the first persons who befriended me when I joined Samhain Publishing Yahoo Group her witty personality just kind of sucks you right in and before you know it you’re a tried and true member of Jambiland where resistance is futile lol

Jambrea is all the things that RC says she is and more but I am going to spotlight two – first and foremost being FRIEND, she has always been the cheerleader, when were feeling down she is the first to give us a pep talk or the figurative “bitch slap” when it is needed, she does not let anyone talk bad about her friends least of all themselves lol

She got me started in beta reading by being the first to have me beta read a book for her, and showing me a whole new side to reading rather this is good or bad I’m still not sure but it is the now the way of things.

Jambrea is an awesome author just like her personality she can write a story suck you into her world that leaves you begging for more, she only has two books published right now Forever Guy in the One Touch One Glance anthology available from Freya’s Bower and Runaway Man also available at Freya’s Bower at but she has been racking up the contracts in the past few months and the rest of the year is looking good in Jambiland, If I’m counting right and I hope I am Jambrea should have to date 4 possibly 5 more stories out before the end of 2009 and that is just the count today there is no telling what will happen from day to day, she often has characters talking to her and demanding their story be told and they just don’t like to wait their turn

If you haven’t read Jambrea Jo Jones yet I recommend you put her on your reading list because she is taking the writing world by storm and resistance is futile!!

I have been absent enjoying my time in Kansas I have so much to do lots of wonderful pictures to share but haven’t had much sit down time but I had to find the time to stop in and post this weeks Spotlight Sunday our IH spotlight shines on Vivian Arend a newbie to the author world by less than a year she has been taking it by storm and I can’t be happier for her Viv is a special friend to all of us IH we often call her Master Viv she likes to take charge and we let her because she knows how to whip us in shape when we need it.

Viv is a brilliant author she can tell a story that puts the reader right there while it is happening her most recent book is Tidal Wave (which by the way is #2 on the Top 10 list at MBaM). I had the pleasure of doing a fun character interview with TW’s characters Alexia, Joshua and Anthony you can read that interview HERE.
