Three of a Kind Book 3: Full House by Jess Dee
Reviewed by Theresa
I can count on one hand with fingers left over the number of authors that can deliver a ménage story that is not only erotically hot but emotionally believable as well. Jess Dee is at the top of the list.
While I might have felt the pace of the relationship moved a bit fast, it wasn’t an unbelievable pace. I thought the characters needed to be together. Often I find myself rooting more for the men to just say the heck with it and run off into the sunset together in the “two men, one girl” romance, but not in Full House. I was actually praying the three of them figured it all out. Of course, it is a romance, so that prayer was answered.
Full House is romantic and passionate. You don’t want to miss book three in the Three Of A Kind series by Jess Dee. It is a must read in this readers opinion. While each book stands on its own, I recommend reading them as a series. You’ll enjoy them more!

Book Description: A full house beats a pair any day.
Three of a Kind, Book 3
It’s been a long, lonely business trip for diamond dealer Max Ashberg. He’s missed his lover like crazy, and he’s come to the realization that he’s ready to take the next step: nominate himself to be Trev’s new housemate. Except when he gets to Trev’s place, there’s someone living in “his” room. A woman—with the face of an angel.
Six weeks shouldn’t make a huge difference in a man’s life, but in that time lawyer Trev Greenfield has realized two things: He wants much more than a standing Friday night “date” with Max. And he’s falling heart-over-head for his new housemate, potter Grace Miles.
Grace never meant to fall for Trev, but when a power failure turns their chemistry into live electricity, there’s no denying the spark. There’s also no denying the shock when Grace discovers a naked man in her new home.
With Grace poised to run and Max teetering between confusion and growing lust for the delicious possibilities, Trev has his hands full trying to hold the two loves of his life together…before they slip through his fingers. Leaving them all with shattered hearts.

The Godrabbit by Cynthia Sax
Reviewed by Eve
I read the sequel to The Godrabbit and couldn’t wait for the second book in the series. Ms. Sax didn’t disappoint. The Godrabbit is hilarious, gritty and definitely going on my keeper shelf. The action-packed story flows beautifully without a single sag in the narrative. Telling the story in first person, from the viewpoint of the two principal characters, brings an intimacy that could have been otherwise lost. Flopsy Lapin, the godrabbit, is a self-described crime boss so he’s not big on showing his feelings. Letting him tell his side of the story was an inspired choice.
The premise is ludicrous—a crime boss who shifts into a cute, nose-twitching bunny—and I tip my hat to Ms. Sax for making it work wonderfully. I bought every minute of the book and that ludicrous premise made this a very funny read. Flopsy muses about his “inner rabbit.” Grace just doesn’t say something would be bad, she says, “That would so bite the big carrot.”
I’m a huge Cynthia Sax fan now and eagerly await more of her work. The Godrabbit is the second book in a series and although it reads well on its own, you’ll want to read the first book.

Book Description: I am known by many names. My beloved mother called me Flopsy Lapin. Lady Grace Satin jokes that I am the wickedest rabbit in all of the world. Her father, Lord Satan, dares to label me a mobster street rabbit. You, my friend, may call me the Godrabbit.
Lady Grace is the only female I lust after. My bloodstained hands are unworthy of holding her, so when a high-class hooker with Lady Grace’s face, voice, scent, and everything else, wanders into my casino, I make her an offer she can’t refuse. This leads to a night I will never forget.
Note: The Godrabbit is a prequel to Protect And Serve: Badge Bunny, and is not actually part of the Protect and Serve series. We’re just — ahh — keeping it in the family, so to speak.

Where The Heart Is
By Elizabeth Silver and Jenny Urban
Reviewed by Theresa
Where The Heart is has everything needed for a hot erotic weekend. One cabin—check. A blizzard—check. No electricity—check. Three hot men—triple check. For a quick erotic read, it works, because the sex was sizzling. Unfortunately, the connection between the characters was not. The “happily ever after,” felt forced and that ruined the story for me. For three friends that have been friends forever to move to lovers and committed partners all in one weekend wasn’t believable. As much as I wanted to just concentrate on the weekend itself, the future was too much a part of the story for me to ignore.
If all you want is an erotic read, Where The Heart Is has that covered but if you want something more meaningful, I’d give this one a pass.

Wanted 1: White Russian by Marteeka Karland
Reviewed by Eve
White Russian is the first book in Marteeka Karland’s Wanted series. For me, it was an okay read. The instant lust between hero and heroine was believable and standard romance fare, but the instant love made my suspension of disbelief wobble. His instant attraction is explained in a quick reference to that’s how it was with his dad. Hers mostly comes down to Yuri being the only guy who’s ever treated her decently.
Yuri’s been arrested for a host of unimaginably vile crimes—so many that the canny Tiressa trusts in innocent-until-proven-guilty. That part of the plot I bought into and I applauded her skepticism, and her faith in herself.
For me, the world building in White Russian could have been stronger. There’s a huge galactic conspiracy going on but details are sketchy and the Supreme Commander who’s supposed to be Yuri’s handler is an absent character. The book just seemed too rushed to ground me in this future reality.
There’s no real ending and the epilogue is a teaser for the second book in the series. I understand the point of that but as a reader, I like to get a whole book for my money, not a partial. Lastly, just as a personal opinion, Changeling Press is still using Poser art for its covers when most publishers have gone on to real photographs. For me, Poser looks cheesy and if I see the cover before the teaser, I pass on the book.

Sparkles and Strawberries by Katica Locke
Reviewed by Eve
This sequel to Cinnamon Stick-Faerie Christmas is imaginative and fast-paced. Nathan and Ezarali are together again and the bond between them is maturing, genuine and heartwarming. Katica Locke has written characters who feel and act like real people, beautiful warts and all. The principals are emotionally scarred but face each day with courage and optimism.
The writer has done a super world-building job. The planet Nethamalon and its inhabitants are intriguing, if a little scary at times.
The conflict is believable and showcases the characters’ nobility.
There’s beautiful scrolled artwork down the side of each page. Problem is, my e-reader separated the scrollwork and the text onto separate pages. I’d read a few pages of text then have to toggle through a few pages of artwork. I solved the problem by reading the book on my computer but if you’re a dedicated e-reader user, be forewarned.
Even though Sparkles and Strawberries is part of a series, it reads well on its own. It’s seasonally themed but it was still a super read in May. Ms. Locke has done a terrific job with this hot, loving read.

Warrior Camp Book 2: Love’s Indecision by Joyee Flynn
Reviewed By Droogie
Love’s Indecision is a book that if chosen to could be read as a standalone story, yet I express the desire to see everyone read it in the series as the characters from all the books are featured and you get to learn just that much more about them.
I personally had read Book 1 Love’s Deceit first and fell in love with the characters so when I started this book I was so excited when it was the story of the Warrior Matteo Deminguez and the student Nate Hathus.
Ms Flynn takes us on a journey that not only lets us follow Matteo and Nate but we see bits and pieces of the others that you just know will find their own story further down the line.
Ms Flynn has created a world where you crave to be a part of it… where all the characters seem like they are your family… you are happy when they are sad when they are and just wanna slap them when they are being a dumbarse.
I must confess that I am a long time fan of Ms Flynn and have read all of her works that are published. I find her writing style to be refreshing and most often, and especially with this book I felt as though I was sucked right into the story itself.
Love’s Indecision and the rest of the Warrior Camp series are so different from her other works and to me that is the sign of a great writer.
In the story of Nate and Matteo my heart went out to Matteo he really held my heart in thrall. This story goes to show that even big tough men can get hurt and have to work through the pain and heartache that we normal people have to face.
I would have to say that mostly I love the character Rune and will be anxiously waiting for the day when Ms Flynn tells us his tale… I definitely recommend this book and the whole series to everyone. And I will be anxiously waiting for the next book Ms Flynn has published no matter what it is about.
I will end with my favourite lines:
‘I can see the look on your face dude,” Dimitri said as he took a seat in front of my desk. “Yes, you love Nate. It’s written all over your face every time you look at him.”

When Danielle is forced to take some time off from her busy job she comes home to find and intruder in her house. Even though she knows she may end up in a fight for her life she still cannot control nor deny the reaction of her body to her abductor. Danielle craves a little pain with her sex but her husband is a reluctant to give her that pain. What will happen now that she has had more of a taste?
Taken is a great story. I enjoyed getting to know Danielle and Mikael. The two are a strong couple and compatible in every other way. If only she could break past Mikael’s barriers when it comes to hurting her. Seeing Danielle’s reactions to her abduction was a great read. She tries to fight her reactions to a stranger but is helpless to her own body. During the course of this story the couple fights for their relationship and shows just how much it means to each of them. Mikael is a great man who wants to satisfy and take care of his woman but he must loose control to do just that. Danielle puts all of her trust into him showing just how much she loves him and wants him no matter what.
Nicole Austin does a wonderful job of pulling the reader into this couples world. These characters were full of depth and strong emotions that heat up the pages of this book. Which made this a great read for me and will have me searching for more books from this author.

Demons Love Cinnamon by Kate Richards
Reviewed by Droogie
Ms Richards tells a wonderful tale of love conquers all… This tale blends the pure and good with the not so good but definitely not evil.
Alessandro is a demon… he is granted passage to earth for one night… and for this gift he is indebted to hell to return with an innocent soul… a soul that would not normally belong to hell.
Gwenny is a human, a witch in service to the Lady Goddess, she is an innocent, and soon to become Alessandro’s payment for his night on earth.
Ms Richards has held our hand and led us through the thoughts as Gwenny goes from not believing to seeing with her own eyes that hell and it’s residents exists. Gwenny also knows that not everything is as it seems… and her belief in all that is good must now save not only her but the man she loves… the man that belongs to her.
This story made me smile the more I got to know Gwenny and Alessandro for they are truly two beautiful characters that deserve only good things. I liked how Ms Richards let us into both Gwenny and Alessandro’s minds to see what they were thinking and feeling. It made me feel like I was on the journey with them in their quest for happiness.
I would definitely recommend this story for others to read, and would love this story to be expanded or made into a series where other demons could be rescued.
This is a story where I read it and went back and read it again, who knew that following a wonderful smell could lead you to your soul mate… I will definitely be reading more work from Ms Richards.
I will end with my favourite lines:
“Funny.”
“What’s funny?” He asked.
“I didn’t know you had a heart. I mean, one that beats like mine.”
“I don’t, not exactly. It’s a little faster, I understand.”

Angel and the Assassin by Fyn Alexander
Reviewed by Kathy K.
The first book that I read by Fyn Alexander, Precious Jade, was amazing, and I found myself lost in the world of BDSM, a world that I knew very little about and, really, had less interest in. It was testament to her writing as well as the ability to evoke strong emotions related to her characters that I found so compelling. So when the opportunity arose to review Angel and the Assassin, it was a no-brainer; imagine my delight—actually the thrill—when I started reading it and I found myself utterly and totally enthralled.
Angel and Kael’s story is far more edgy, detailed, and delves even deeper into the world of BDSM, and yet I could not put the book down… at all. There are some fairly extreme aspects, elements that are not run of the mill and so in this respect I will give a gentle warning. For some people it could well cause some squeamishness, but to be honest, I was still fully engaged. Between Angel and Kael it all works; it’s who they are individually as well as together. It’s not a facet that had me dwelling on what it is; Ms. Alexander makes it a beautiful expression of their feelings and their needs. And I was wholly caught up in the tale.
I think a big part of the attraction—actually attraction is much too tame to describe the extreme sizzle between Kael and Angel—is how meeting Angel completely changed Kael’s life, in just about every way possible. Having a ring-side seat to these developments was fascinating. There is something about being privy to what’s going on in Kael’s mind and heart; can you say intense?
And lest you think that this is all that there is to the story, let me tell you that the suspense relating to Kael’s career choice is also quite intense. All in all, Ms. Alexander did a masterful job of combining all the, rather diverse, elements into one cohesive and thrilling whole.
If you are a fan of the BDSM genre, I highly recommend Fyn Alexander’s Angel and the Assassin. Truly, I cannot fathom that a fan of the genre would not be as captivated as I was. And I will go even further: for those who have ever wondered about the lifestyle—at least fictionally—then in the context of a sexier than hell romance I think that this will appeal to a wide section of readers; I really do.

Tamed by Emily Cale
Reviewed by Eve
Tamed has a great premise. What woman who works her corporate hiney off and has no personal life as a result doesn’t have an escapism fantasy or two? Especially one featuring a hot ‘n hunky cowboy.
For me, Tamed didn’t deliver the goods. The book is peppered with dropped words and spelling errors. The kind Spell Check won’t pick up on. “Utter” is used in place of “udder,” for example. Character’s names switch. Sarah becomes Lucy, and advice given by Jesse is later credited to Mark.
Mostly, I was never able to establish empathy for the female lead. Delia’s a practiced cougar, cruising bars to pick up disposable young men who she can have meaningless sex with then kick out of bed immediately after. She meets the book’s hero and is devastated because he’s got an extensive dating history. I like a strong, independent woman but her double standard had me rolling my eyes. She’s also unforgivably rude to Lucas. For example, he was asked by his employer to help Delia with her luggage. Delia flatly refuses and fires off a “I highly doubt that you are [a] gentleman,” putdown, seconds after meeting him. Her rudeness continues through the book, and she comes on to him at the same time. That kind of manipulation put me off.
While Tamed didn’t work for me, Ms. Cale’s premise reveals a winning imagination. I don’t mean to sound trite but practice makes perfect and I’d like to read something of hers in, say, six months or a year from now and see how her writing has matured.

Assassin’s Pride, Book One: The Cat’s Meow
By Stormy Glenn
Reviewed by Droogie
This is a story that pulled me in from the very first page where innocence meets ruthlessness, and didn’t back down.
Noah Anderson’s OCD style of order in his life drew me towards him in an instant. His compassion and understanding of how things were made my heart tug just that little bit more in his direction.
Gage Tynan is a bad arse and knows he is a bad arse… he sees what has to be done and knows exactly what to do until now. Everything he has ever known about how to take out a target is thrown out the window when Noah Anderson steps into his life.
Ms Glenn has written this story beautifully, this is a story that I am sure will be on many people’s re read lists
Noah’s antics as he faces the knowledge that he is about to cease to exist at the hands of the strange but attractive Gage tell the true story of how kind he really is. He is ok with the dying as long as Gage keeps his promise to take care of his cat Precious.
I found it intriguing watching Gage’s life slowly turn around as he realised that he is not the scariest thing out there. I loved how Noah slowly dragged Gage into the place where Gage was now the protector and not the killer.
Ms Glenn showed that by standing together Noah and Gage were stronger than if they faced their problems alone… By putting aside their initial conflict they banded together to help each other through their own demons.
Gages knowledge that he was meant for better things was an amazing storyline to follow as his understanding of what was happening came to life he manned up and took control… proving not only to himself but us as readers that when fighting for what’s right you have to dig a little deeper… even when what you are fighting for turns out to be a little different and a lot more complicated then what he first thought.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I know that you will too, I can’t wait for the next instalment in this series. I will end with my favourite lines of this story.
“Okay, what should I do now?” Noah asked, his voice sounding low and shaky. “How is this done? Are you gonna shoot me or stab me or something else? What would be easiest for you?”

Noah Anderson is odd and he knows it. He has a strong obsessive compulsive disorder that keeps him organized but distances him from the world around him. He doesn’t have any friends, family, or even a lover. He’s never had a lover.
When he finds himself in the wrong place at the right time, Noah discovers that the dangers posed by having sex for the first time pale in comparison to having sex with the assassin that comes to kill him, even if it means his life.
Gage Tynan is a killer. It’s what he’s always been. And he excelled at his job until he jumped into the car of a passing motorist when his latest mission goes wrong. The man driving is so odd that Gage suspects he might have been sent to harm him. Gage has no idea that the little man that asks him to take his cat will change his life in ways he has no clue of.

The Shadow Faerie’s Secret By Katica Locke
Reviewed by Eve
The Shadow Faerie’s Secret is a super fairytale. No pun intended.
I adored Eran. He’s the quintessential stand-up guy. Even though life’s thrown him a few curves, and he has every reason to be disenchanted with the world and his place in it, he draws his strength and purpose from a job that represents the noblest of pursuits…being a Hero. He’s intelligent, discerning, and lives by a code that doesn’t allow him to dismiss people, even at their less-than-truthful best. Can I take him home with me? Seriously.
The book has some tongue-in-cheek humor which I found terrific.
My only complaint is the story should have started with a “Once upon a time.” That would have immediately got me in the mindset that this is indeed a fairytale. Once I did get in the proper mindset, the story flowed beautifully and I was enchanted right through to the end.
Congratulations, Katica, on yet another winner!

Choice of Masters by Joey W. Hill
Reviewed by Eve
Although I’m a huge Joey W. Hill fan, Choice Of Masters didn’t float my boat. Part of that might have had to do with the book originally being released in 2003. Things like references to sharp objects being inserted into women’s bodies creeped me out (to put it mildly), and simply aren’t referenced in today’s romance novels.
All the characters’ speech was pseudo-medieval and it was so thick it got annoying after awhile. For me, it seemed to take forever for the author to get around to explaining exactly what was what and after the half-way point in the novel, I was skimming pages. The novel’s non-stop sex and, even for me, it stopped holding my attention.
Fortunately, we Joey W. Hill fans know she’s gone on to much bigger and better things. I still love her writing, just not this particular example.

Marie Harte’s The Lost Locket (a Power Up story)
By Marie Harte
Reviewed by Kathy K.
When I realised that The Lost Locket is connected, albeit somewhat loosely, to Marie Harte’s Dawn Endeavor series—and it was Keegan’s name that clued me in—I knew I had to read it. I loved the four Dawn Endeavor books, and my interest in Keegan stemmed from, in particular, the last book—Gunnar’s Game. So it was nice to get to know him… and boy did we get to know him!
Of course, getting to know Keegan entailed becoming much better acquainted with James Foreman and that was no hardship either, but rather a delight. With Keegan and James it wasn’t just them—sexy as they are—but it was their friendship, the easy camaraderie they had that I found so wonderful… although, yeah, the sexy quotient blew the roof off too.
Discovering that James has had serious romantic feelings for Keegan just upped the extreme like factor for me. And once Keegan admitted to himself that his feelings for James exceeded the label of ‘just friend’… well, that was just plain awesome. Added to that was Keegan’s acceptance that he was also sexually interested in his best friend.
In this, too, did Marie Harte’s talent come to the fore: it was a shock, or at least a very big surprise, to Keegan that he was actually was attracted to a man, but he didn’t go all weird over it. The realistic aspect of Keegan’s and James’s relationship change was absolutely perfect. There was no huge angsty buildup, nor any facile acceptance—it just worked, and worked well.
As for the sexual tension as well as the hot and steamy lovin’ between Keegan and Price, may I just say… yowza! It was sexier than hell, but it was also a lot more than just the physical that was so danged hot. And I honestly did not think that it could get any better, but I was so wrong.
I didn’t know how Harte was going to successfully add Rory to the mix; I loved the straight—so to speak—man on man action; add a woman to that? Well, I should have known that, if anyone can do it, it would definitely be Marie Harte, and do it… well, Keegan, James and Rory did it and it nearly shorted out the circuits on my ereader. *grin* But it was much, more than sexual, it was the emotional connection as well as the psychic one that blew me away; combined, it was off the charts.
As for the psychic element in the story, well I loved all that Marie Harte did in the Dawn Endeavor books and, while different than the Circs, the Power Up! team is extremely fascinating. Now with The Lost Locket, Marie Harte has started me on yet another series for which I’ll be waiting impatiently as each book is released. I just hope I won’t have to wait too long… pretty please?

Book Description: A casualty of funding wars and an overzealous Defense Department trying to clean up its reputation after several failed experimental programs, the Psychic Warfare Program (PWP) is scrapped in the throes of its infancy. Its participants are transferred to other defense agencies, but a few decide to leave the government behind, knowing full well their freedom hinges on keeping a low profile and living under the radar.
Life on the outside isn’t easy. Without the constant physical, mental and psychic training they’ve become accustomed to, many of the PWPs best break down, losing control of their abilities and their minds. Returning to Uncle Sam’s open arms seems like their only viable option, until one of their own comes up with an idea that just might work… And the Power Up! Gym is born. Trainers, weights and fitness by day, psychic training and investigative work by night.
Ex-PWP agent Keegan Price likes beer, sex, and relaxing after a hard day’s work. He’s looking forward to exercising his telekinetic skills on a real case. Finding a lost locket seems almost too easy, but hey, it’s a job away from the civilian world. When James Foreman tags along, so much the better. Foreman’s a wiseass who loves a good time, and his ability to manipulate fire with a snap comes in handy. Keegan knows they’re overqualified for this simple retrieval, but he figures he and James have earned a working vacation after spending so many hours in that damned gym. Except the case turns out to be anything but simple. The locket’s a weapon, he and James can’t take their eyes off the woman wearing it, and their spiraling sexual attraction for each other and her makes for one hell of a ride.

Stay With Me by Gwen Campbell
Reviewed by Eve
Ms. Campbell has another winner with Stay With Me. The heroine’s imperfect and I adored her for that. Finally, a female lead who isn’t model-thin, is middle aged, and is bigger on bottom than she is on top. I identified with Charlotte and liked it.
The hero is a vampire and the buildup to that reveal was well paced without tossing Charlotte into too-stupid-to-live territory. Ah but David’s not your average vampire. He’s a self-confessed vigilante, protecting the lovely town of Barry’s Bay from bad guys like drunk drivers and pedophiles. The idea of a vigilante vampire, with a history in the community spanning over a century, blew me away. Talk about your Alpha hero! The premise was original, handled beautifully and I absolutely loved it.
There’s some vamp on vamp violence and the fight scene was great.
The ending had me in tears, and I didn’t want the story to end. Stay With Me has definitely earned a spot on my keeper shelf.

Book Description: After a messy divorce and the death of her mother, author Charlotte Allen is looking for a quiet place to hang her laptop. She finds it on a hundred acres of pristine, Northern Canadian wilderness. Things start to look up when a hunky contractor signs on to build her dream home.
David Hadfield is a big fan of Charlotte’s work, so it’s no trouble at all when the lovely Ms. Allen asks him to put his big hammer to use. David’s also a 250-year-old vampire who’s been looking for a woman to call his own. Forever.
He loves the vampire stories she writes. It makes sense she’d find it easy to love a real bloodsucker…doesn’t it?

Like The Knave Of Hearts: Erotic Tales of Wonderland
Anthology
Morwenna Drake, Alex Picchetti, Holly Abair, Gary Westfahl, Verity Penvenen
Reviewed by Eve
I’m as guilty as the next person for calling hot romances steamy. Well, Like The Knave Of Hearts isn’t just steamy, it smolders. Not only does it smolder, it’s very well written, clever, and deliciously creative.
The seven stories (yes the blurb says five but there were seven stories in the book) in this compilation fantasy are unique yet they complement each other. As a result, the book flows seamlessly, like acts in a play told from different perspectives. It works and it works well.
One of my particular favorites was Alex Picchetti’s A World Of Her Own. Grown-up Alice returns to Wonderland now and then to relieve the repression and predictability of her Victorian life. The story’s delightful and titillating.
Even if you haven’t read Lewis Carroll’s original stories and poems, I think you’ll find Like The Knave Of Hearts a must-have.

Book Description: Return to the world of wonder beyond the looking glass with this new collection. Like the Knave of Hearts seeks to answer the question, “What would Wonderland be like for grown-ups?” Dive into five luscious stories that explore the weird, the sexy, and the strange aspects of our favorite make-believe land.
At least two generations have grown up watching Disney’s animated classic Alice in Wonderland. This year, with Tim Burton’s live-action remake, we were all given the chance to revisit this magical place. How is Wonderland different for adults? What new experiences would we have there, all these years later?
Wonderland viewed by adult eyes is a very different place indeed, taking on a whole new dimension when elements of the erotic are introduced. The results are strange, troubling, and whimsical. This collection features five writers who were given the chance to explore the themes of adulthood and eroticism in the context of Lewis Carroll’s work. The resulting stories range from deeply romantic to starkly erotic, and are far-reaching in their imaginative scope. Their visions range from the ridiculous to the deeply dangerous. These are stories of pasts revisited, imaginations awakened, and fears faced.

A Man After Midnight by Beth D. Carter
Reviewed by Sasha
A Man After Midnight is your typical weekend getaway fling that most people hope and foolishly pray that it turns into something much more meaningful. The connection between both characters works well for this story it is instant and hot. Almost right from the start the passion and heat ignites and we find both our leading characters in mattress heaven. Both characters are sincere caring people but lack a bit of fire. I’m not talking about in the bedroom because that fire they have. I’m talking about the chemistry and fire between both as people. To me this story has a lot of sexual chemistry and not enough of a true connection. I guess that’s why this story seems so real because as in life when weekend getaway flings do occur it is usually purely just sexual.

Badland Warriors: Vikings by Shara Azod
Reviewed by Sasha
Badland Warriors: Vikings by Shara Azod is purely bend me over and take me with a little action adventure. Is this bad? Not for this particular story because lets face it this story is supposed to arouse the reader and that my friend it does. We all read these types of books to stimulate or arouse a part of us that needs should I say to be awaken. What woman hasn’t fantasized about being in a threesome or twosome. Take out the action adventure thrill and you have four bodies frolicking in pure unadulterated sex. What violence that is in this story only adds to the thrill of it all.
Azod has taken brotherhood to a higher level. The trust and connection that they share with each other is felt throughout the story there is no petty jealousy or hidden motives. These brothers only want wast best for their mate Amy which is her safety and protection. Believe me they will do anything to make sure she is well protected as well as satisfied. Amy embraces everything that they give and do for her with open arms.
I think that every story no matter it’s length or subject matter has a little hidden message. Even for an arousing story like this, we all risk, sacrifice and do things when love is involved.

Ride Along by A. Campbell
Reviewed by Eve
Ms. Campbell has another thigh tingler with The Ride Along. The story’s quick (and not just because it’s only fifteen pages long), lean and hot as all get out.
What I found especially interesting is we’re given no physical description of the heroine. No age, coloring, height…nothing. That worked for me. I like to tell myself I’ve got a pretty good imagination and I like to bring some of that to everything I read. The Ride Along made it easy for me to imagine myself in the hunky cop’s arms and…well, I’m sure you get the drift.
If you’re in the mood for a quickie with a reliable tingle factor, give The Ride Along a read. You won’t be disappointed.

Demon Heart by Nicole Dennis
Reviewed by Eve
The premise of Demon Heart is terrific. What woman wouldn’t want to have a gorgeous, naked, talented sex slave show up on her back step? For the most part, it’s a good story. Unfortunately, for me, there were some flaws in the story telling that pulled me out of the narrative.
At the beginning, there’s some uneven punctuation which I found distracting. Although once I got used to it, I stopped noticing it. The voice of Constance, the modern-day heroine is established early but changes after the narrative switches over to the 4,000 year old male hero’s voice for awhile. After, she sounds far too much like him. Maybe if they’d been together a long time, sure, but they’d been together only half a day. Secondary, paranormal characters pop up in ways that, for me,
felt clumsy and had me shaking my head, unable to recapture my suspension of disbelief.
The ending left me hanging a bit. Still, it was a happily ever after and I love those. Demon Heart was a nice enough read. Not terrific but nice enough.

Not quite believing the story, but seeing a flame in the fire, she takes the jewel home and finds herself in possession of a naked demon hunk named Aramir.
After 4,000 years of dealing with various mistresses in one sexual way or another, Aramir knows what to expect when he appears in the moonlight. Only this mistress is different and he finds himself fed, clothed, and treated like a real man not a slave. What is a bound demon to do with such a lady?

The Robber Wife by Verona St. James
Reviewed by Eve
I liked The Robber Wife. It’s a short, yet satisfying read. The pacing is terrific and Ms. St. James rolls the conflict out nicely. I found the story unique. The ending left me hanging but that was because I wanted to find out more about the characters and how their story would play out. It’s only eighteen pages though so I’ve got to expect some limits on the scope of the book. The only thing that put me off was, during the sex scene, just about every sentence started with a pronoun (she, his, their). I would have liked a little more variety in the narrative.
The banter between the protagonists is very good so if you’re into intelligent characters, you’ll enjoy The Robber Wife

Unexpected Mate by Toni Griffin

Unexpected Mate is a beautiful story my only problem with it is Brian forgave Marcus way too easily, but other that that the story was wonderful. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves M/M genre. . The story flowed quite remarkable considering I had a hiccup there at the beginning. Of course the ending left me wanting more. In this case that’s a good thing.
Unexpected Mate is the first in a new series Holland Borthers by Toni Griffin. I personally cannot wait until the next comes out, I for one will be snatching it up. I am a huge fan of a good series and the Holland Brothers promises to be just that

Liaison: Soul Bond Book 1 by Ambrielle Kirk

Liaison: Soul Bound Book One I could feel the connection and passion that both characters held for one another. I could also sense the conflict that was tearing Leona apart between Leona and her uncle, as well as the conflict between Carrick and his father. The power struggle of control was very evident in this story. With Leona and Carrick it was to have control of their own lives and destiny that both longed for. Which I am happy to say that through courage and strength both Carrick and Leona achieve.
Liaison is the first book that Kirk has written for her Soul Bound anthology (series) and if this book is just the beginning I can only imagine what lies ahead. This story is an easy read that flows well. The strength and courage that shines through both Leona and Carrick is heartwarming.

Caught By Surprise by LD Madison
Reviewed by Sasha
What starts out as a practical prank leads into something that both men never imagined would happen. Special agent Jason Lowery and his boss Noah Black are kidnapped and thrown together only to give into each others hidden desires. Can they both commit to just one night of pure pleasure and still remain friends or will this night of pleasure ruin their friendship?
Self discovery, heart ache, betrayal, jealousy and true love are all rolled up into LD Madison’s book Caught by Surprise. This is the first time that I have read anything by this author and I must say it was an interesting read. Caught by Surprise is an easy flowing read that touches lightly on the emotional baggage that most homosexuals face when family members are unwilling to accept their life. On the flip side Madison shows through Noah Blacks character that their are families and friends with open hearts and minds.
The sexual intimacy between Noah and Jason has an almost delicate innocence about it, but don’t get me wrong the sex is hot. Even though it seems as if the relationship flourishes quickly you can sense the special bond that develops between them. What I liked most is when Noah realizes that he has fallen totally head over heels for Jason and is willing to throw caution to the wind to be in this beautiful man’s life.
As much as this was an interesting read I am still left a little curious to why the serial killer was introduced into this story to only lead us down any empty road. Is it to keep us in suspense as this spins off into a series or has Madison left us purposely hanging?

Book Description: Partners and Federal Agents, Jason Lowery and Noah Black wake up in bed together naked, but neither one knows how they got there, or to the remote cabin the bed’s in. Jason’s interested, very interested, but he fears his partner’s reaction and the potential fallout if their superiors ever find out. He misread a fellow officer’s interest once and lost it all — his career, his friends, his family’s respect. This time around, he won’t be the one risking everything.
Noah has always been curious about sex with another man, but his strict upbringing and life in law enforcement made it impossible to explore that side of his nature safely. When he and Jason get locked in a cabin by a well-meaning friend, Noah wants to sample the forbidden.
Both men agree to a single afternoon of passion. Just to see.
When they are released from the cabin, Jason wants to see where a relationship with Noah might lead. However, Noah is not ready to make such a radical lifestyle change — and he doesn’t think he’ll ever be ready to come out to friends and family.

Mr. Postman by A. Campbell
Reviewed by Eve
Mr. Postman is hot, short and to the point. The first few pages definitely drift away from erotica and into porn, but if you’re not phased by that, you’ll enjoy the book.
The pace is fast. It has to be to cram so much action into sixteen pages. The heroine definitely has a touch of Domme in her and I loved her verve. I also loved her wry sense of humor when she refers to herself as a “shopaholic nympho.”
The hero, The Postman, is drool worthy and his reactions to a take-no-prisoners, sexually confident woman were terrific.
I can’t give away the ending but I promise you’ll love it. I’d read Ms. Campbell again.
