Win A Book”

  • Delane:

Maggi Anderson and her lawyer husband live in Sydney with two cats. Maggi is published in many places such as Eternal Press, Wild Child Publishing and New Concepts Publishing.

  • Sally Lloyd:

Kage Alan graduated and attended Grand Valley State University with a BA in Creative Writing and Film & Video and also collects rare soundtracks. Despite his asertions in an interview that he would not write a serious book it appears that hehas done so, albeit under a different name (Kristoffer Gair) with another writer. It’s called Honour Bound and is about Emma Edmondson, who posed as a man to fight in the American civil war and was the first woman in history to recieve a Civil War pension.

I really can’t think what genre you would really put his work in. His first two books, “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to My Sexual Orientation” and “Lord of the Loins” he give the reader a insite in to the life of 19–year–old Andy Stevenson, who’s and I quote “life is ruled by Murphy’s Law and if something doesn’t seem like it can get any worse, it generally does.” (This sounds a lot like me really BUT for completely different reasons you understand!! :D ) From reading the summaries for these books they takes us on a journed from one problem to another regarding his family and beyond to people that he is with at college.

I have never read these books. However, considering that the summaries for both had me in stiches I will deffinitely be saving up the mnoey to add them to my collection.

As for the one that is being offered as the prize, well anything that can be described as a cross between I-Spy and Monty Python has got my vote (And yes if I don’t win this will get added on to my list of future purchases too! :D )

  • Valerie:

Wow, this would make anybody’s Sunday fun!!!

Well, Sandy Sullivan seems to write hot, cowboy stories. She’s got some delickable covers. I really like Strictly Professional…lovely cover.

Maggie Anderson lives in Sydney. She writes in a couple of genres, one being historicals. You’ll find those mostly at New Concepts Publishing. She has some interesting looking titles there and I puts some on my wishlist.

Kage Alan’s book looks like a wild ride of a read…hehe!!! If he writes in the same style as his bio….then I want to read his work!!! Haha!!!

I always enjoy reading the author’s bios and Mahalia’s is very interesting. Love the photos girl!!!! She’s multi-published and has her books at various publishers.

Andrea Speed is an author I’ve never heard of before and I am always game to try a new author. Her blog looks interesting and I will have to go back and peruse it a bit more.

Sapphire writes sweet and erotic paranormals…my absolute favourite type of book. She’s owned by two cats…hehe!!!

  • Zina:

I have Sandy’s Cowboy Love but I’ve been wanting to add Wild Wyoming Nights for awhile and Strictly Professional too.

The Dress on the cover of Maggie Anderson’s Stirring Passions is absolutely georgeous and I’ll love one. I’d like to add Stirring Passions and When Danger Follows to my library.

  • Tracey D:

Sandy Sullivan has quite a few books featuring cowboys. I went through a cowboy phase late last year and am glad to have discovered another author who writes about them. The Wilder Series sounds really great.

Maggi Andersen’s novels “are still filled with adventure and suspense, but are also passionate romances.” What a great combination. Maggi is a new author for me and I look forward in reading her works. Night Garden sounds pretty good. The description reminds me, a bit, of the book Rebecca.

Kage Allen is a new LGBT author for me. I loved the blurb for Gaylias: Operation Thunderspell. I like the idea of two exact opposites with quick wits and sharp tongues who work together. This sounds like a fun read.

Mahalia Levey is “An avid reader of books, she found herself enchanted with disappearing completely into the worlds authors created.” That sounds like me; I can get so lost in books. Mahalia works are quite varied, shapeshifters, witches, demons. I’m interested in reading more steampunk novels and I look forward in reading Silver Wings.

Andrea Speed’s work, Infected Prey, received a ver nice review from Lambda Literary. I’ve seen this book on other book blogs and look forward in reading it. Andrea is a new LGBT author for me.

    Thanks,
    Tracey D

Sandy Sullivan is a registered nurse and lives on a farm- she writes a lot of western themed books, publishes through Siren/Bookstrand and The Wild Rose.
Maggie Anderson lives in Sydney and is married to a lawyer (should give her plenty of stories …lol), publishes through New Concepts and Eternal Press and has several Regency Historicals that I will be looking up to read.
Mahalia Levy has 3 kids and recently bought a house with her best friend/one love and they are compromising on interior decorating (lol)…Her books are published through several comppanies but I’m nost intereted in the ones through Phaze- especialy the Semper Paratus ones

  • Fedora:

    Ooh, T!

-Sandy’s site is newly redone–she’s been writing since she did plays for her neighborhood in 7th grade. She’s had a couple very hot, very recent releases for some new series, including Unexpected Lovers and Professional Liaison for the Between the Sheets series for Siren.

-Maggi Andersen is new to me–she writes in a few different genres, including historical, YA, mystery… I’m glad she’s put her Creative Writing degree to such good use for us readers! And yay for her taking her empty nest time for writing!

-I’m glad Mahalia’s realized her childhood dream of writing, too! She’s managed to avoid becoming a soccer mom (despite having 3 kids to oversee) and is redecorating her first house. She’s got more that half a dozen titles available already, and many more in progress. She manages to blog, too!

    Thanks so much!

  • Joder:

What a great way to spend my Sunday! I enjoy finding new authors and great sounding stories.

Sandy Sullivan: Has a very cool free read on her site that has a new installment every week that keeps you coming back for more. I also agree with her cowboy obsession, they’re sexy and sweaty.

Maggie Anderson: Has a wide variety of genres she writes in and all her books look good, that bit of suspense in all of them make them even more exciting to read.

Kage Alan: He has a great sense of humor which is reflected in his writing, from the snarky book titles to the funny storylines.

Mahalia Levey: I love the very exotic names she uses for her characters. It’s a reflection of her unique ethnic background.

Andrea Speed: I’m so interested in her book Infected:Prey and happy to see there’s a sequel coming. I love paranormal/sci-fi storylines and she seems to have quite a few of those kinds of themes.

Sapphire Phelan: She writes paranormal, both funny and sweet, which is a genre I enjoy.

All of these authors have great sounding books and I’d love to read more from each of them.

  • JOYE:

I went to Sandy Sullivan’s site and found out that she writes erotic mainstream romance stories that I would like to read. She has a family and lives in Tenn. where she is also a registerd nurse.

  • I already knew Sandy- and her love of cowboys and tight Wranglers:) Mahalia is adorable, if I may say so, and I haven’t gotten to read one of her books yet, but SO want to. OMG, she has a Cheetah shifter book I need to get as soon as I have money for more books:)

  • Julie Swaney:

I found out that Sandy Sullivan lives in Middle Tennesse on a 20 arch farm. This caught my eye because I live in Western KY so she is not that far from me. Also she is an RN. I was a nurse before I became disabled.
I like Mahalia Levey because she writes shifter books.

  • Chris Roberts:

Kage Alan writes funny books, but what I like is that he has had 15 years with his partner. It is really nice to see that my dh and I aren’t the only ones to have a long term relationship(27 years for us).

I would like to win Mr. Alan’s book because I could really use a laugh.

  • Andrea Speed started writing her novel Infected: Prey as a serial novel, online, and she continues to draft her books that way. This is a major undertaking– I have never seriously tried to draft “in public” that way. I’m really impressed.
    -Jay

  • Ryan:

Andrea Speed writes sci-fi and supernatural m/m romance. If she could, she would cast Tom Hardy and Hugh Jackman as the leads in a film of Infected. Infected: Prey is published by Dreamspinner Press, a 3 yr old company that is developing a reputation for great books. A four volume series of Infected is also available from Viral Press. Andrea was born in the United States.

  • Mina Gerhart:

Sapphire is happily married and owned by two cats. She also writes non-erotic genre fiction and nonfiction under the name Pamela K. Kinney.
    Love your books, Sapphire!

  • Ashley Applebee:

I found out that Kage Alan just celebrate is 15 anniversary with his half-Chinese and wholly domineering partner in February 2010, and graduated and attended Grand Valley State University with a BA in Creative Writing and Film & Video.
His first book was “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to My Sexual Orientation” and is about the world of 19–year–old Andy Stevenson, where life is ruled by Murphy’s Law and if something doesn’t seem like it can get any worse, it generally does.
His books are published by Zumaya Publications.
I would so much love to win a book by Kage because I just adore M/M stories and M/M writers! His books look like a heckofa fun read!!

I found out that Sapphire Phelan writes erotic and sweet paranormal romance and also writes non-erotic genre fiction and nonfiction under the name Pamela K. Kinney. She is happily married and is owned by two cats.
She is a member of Romance Writers of America, and the local chapter Virginia Romance Writers and of the RWA chapter, Fantasy, Futuristic and Paranormal. She is also a member of nonprofit e-Published writers organization, EPIC and also local writers organizations, James River Writers and Chesapeake Bay Writers.
I would love to win a book by Sapphire Phelan because I love paranormals and her books look awesome!!

    Wow lots of authors today!
Sandy Sullivan – The first thing she ever wrote was a play in 7th grade. And it was a hit!
Maggie Anderson – Her and her lawyer husband are empty nesters and have 3 children.
Mahalia Levey – Has vowed to never own a mini van. She is a proud mom and has succeeded in not being a soccer mom.
Sapphire Phelan – Happily married and owned by two cats. I would love to read her book because I love paranormal and erotic!

  • What wonderful replies :) We bought the house a year ago and we’re still arguing over decorating certain rooms! I’ll have to change that part of my bio when we’re no longer fussing or compromising :) Thank you everyone!
